• Normalization of intestinal microflora
Inulin is a natural polysaccharide of plant origin, extracted from the root of chicory (Cichorium intybus L.).
It belongs to the group of prebiotics - substances that are mostly not absorbed in the intestine but positively affect the body by stimulating the growth and metabolism of beneficial representatives of intestinal microflora.
Inulin leads to beneficial changes in the composition and function of gut microbiota.
This, in turn, improves the condition of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT), helping to address issues with bowel movements.
• Normalization of blood sugar and cholesterol levels
By increasing tissue sensitivity to insulin (a hormone produced by the pancreas), inulin helps normalize blood sugar levels.
The prebiotic effect is also associated with a tendency to lower cholesterol levels.
