How to use

Method of Use and Doses

To obtain the most accurate results:

• Before measuring, rest for 5-10 minutes.

• Sit comfortably and place your arm in front of you on the table with the palm facing up.

• Position your arm so that the cuff is at heart level.

• Do not move or talk during the measurement.

• Using the pump, inflate the cuff to a level 20 mm Hg above the point at which the pulse disappears on the radial artery.

• Open the locking screw of the release valve so that the air is released from the cuff at a rate of about 2 mm per second.

• Mark the level at which you hear the sound of at least two consecutive beats (the first Korotkoff sounds). This value corresponds to the systolic blood pressure.

END OF MEASUREMENT

• Continue to lower the pressure in the cuff until the sound fades away completely. To ensure that the sounds have truly disappeared, continue to listen until the pressure drops another 15-20 mm Hg.

• If the tones are very weak, raise your arm and perform several squeezing movements with your hand, then repeat the measurement. Do not compress the artery with the diaphragm of the stethoscope.

• Fully open the locking screw of the release valve to release all the air from the cuff, allowing the pressure to drop to zero.

• The point of disappearance of the tones, which is just a few millimeters of mercury below the point of the onset of muffling, indicates the most accurate figure for diastolic blood pressure in adults. In some individuals, the point of muffling and the point of disappearance can be quite significantly apart. If the difference is more than 10 mm Hg, record both values (for example, 150/80/68 mm Hg). Round the values of systolic and diastolic pressure to within 2 mm Hg. Wait 2 minutes and then repeat. Calculate the average value.

•Перед измерением отдохните в течение 5-10 минут.
•Сядьте удобно и положите руку перед собой на стол ладонью вверх.
•Расположите руку таким образом, чтобы манжета была на уровне сердца.
•Не двигайтесь и не разговаривайте во время измерения.
1.Нагнетателем накачайте воздух в манжету до уровня на 20 мм рт. ст. выше того, при котором исчезает пульс на лучевой артерии.
2.Откройте запирающий винт выпускного клапана с таким условием, чтобы скорость выпускания воздуха из манжеты составляла около 2 мм в секунду.
3.Отметьте уровень, на котором вы услышали звук, по крайней мере, двух последовательных сокращений (первые тоны Короткова). Эта величина соответствует систолическому АД.

6.Точка исчезновения тонов, которая всего на несколько миллиметров ртутного столба ниже точки начала приглушения, указывает наиболее точную цифру диастолического АД у взрослых. У некоторых людей точка приглушения тонов и точка исчезновения довольно значительно отстоят друг от друга. Если разница больше 10 мм рт. ст., запишите оба значения (например, 150/80/68 мм рт.ст.).
