“LUTEIN-COMPLEX Children” is a multi-component product containing lutein, zeaxanthin, lycopene, blueberry fruit extract, taurine, vitamins A, C, E, and zinc. All components of “LUTEIN-COMPLEX Children” provide protection for the visual apparatus, have antioxidant effects, and reduce the risk of eye diseases in children.
Properties of the components of the dietary supplement “LUTEIN-COMPLEX Children”
Lutein, zeaxanthin, lycopene
Lutein accumulates in the lens and the central (macular) area of the retina. Lutein and zeaxanthin act as light filters and protect important structures of the eye from the most aggressive blue part of the spectrum of daylight. Lycopene accumulates in the pigment epithelium, choroid, and ciliary bodies of the eye. With high antioxidant activity, lycopene protects the retina from the destructive effects of light and maintains the health of the eye's blood vessels.
Blueberry fruit extract
Contains anthocyanins, which participate in the restoration of the light-sensitive pigment rhodopsin and thus improve adaptation to various lighting levels, enhancing visual acuity in twilight.
Taurine
An amino acid necessary for the retina of the eyes. At night, taurine accumulates and is consumed under bright light or eye strain. Therefore, taurine is essential for eye fatigue. It helps normalize metabolic processes in the eye tissues.
Vitamin A
Improves color perception. Plays an important role in redox processes and the synthesis of vital substances for the eye.
Vitamin E
Accelerates the regeneration of damaged cells, participates in tissue respiration and other crucial metabolic processes. Prevents increased fragility and permeability of capillaries.
Vitamin C
Increases the effectiveness of antioxidants (lutein, zeaxanthin, anthocyanins), which accelerates the restoration of visual pigments in the retina.
Zinc
Found in the retina, choroid, and iris of the eye. Helps maintain vitamin A levels.
