Method of Use and Dosage

Before measuring blood pressure

Make yourself comfortable sitting at a table, and rest for a few minutes.

If you are measuring blood pressure after physical exercise, eating, or smoking, take a break of at least thirty minutes before measuring, unless there are specific instructions from your doctor.

Free your left shoulder from clothing.

The cuff should not constrict the arm or interfere with the cuff.

Locate the area of intense pulsation of the artery a few centimeters above the elbow bend at the level of your heart.

Recommendations

Measure blood pressure after eating or 30 minutes after a meal.

The process of digestion can affect the results of blood pressure measurement.

Rest between blood pressure measurements. Blood pressure reflects your health status.

Measure blood pressure of other family members to detect hypertension in its early stages.

If you are taking medications, continue to do so.

Do not attempt to interpret your blood pressure readings on your own and always remember that only a qualified professional can assess your health indicators and prescribe appropriate medication.

• Wrap the cuff around your arm and secure it tightly.

• Insert the earpieces of the stethoscope into your ears and place the head of the stethoscope over the artery. Inflate the cuff by rhythmically squeezing the bulb.

• Slowly open the valve while listening for pulse beats. Record the manometer readings at the moments of the first and last pulse beats.

Do not attempt to repair or disassemble the device or cuff on your own.
Do not inflate the cuff that is not secured to the arm.
