Indications
OneTouch Verio® test strips, used with OneTouch Verio® series glucometers, are intended for the quantitative determination of glucose (sugar) levels in a sample of fresh capillary blood from the finger. Medical professionals may use certain systems to determine glucose levels in a sample of whole venous blood.
Results from samples taken from the forearm or palm may differ from results obtained from the finger. This difference is due to the characteristics of blood circulation and does not affect the accuracy of the system's readings. It is advisable to consult with a healthcare provider when obtaining a blood sample from the forearm or palm.
Differences in blood glucose readings from the fingertip and other sites may occur after eating, insulin injection, or physical exercise. This is because blood sugar levels change more rapidly in the fingertip than in other areas.

Тест-полоски OneTouch Verio®, используемые с глюкометрами серии OneTouch Verio®, предназначены для количественного определения уровня глюкозы (сахара) в образце свежей капиллярной крови из пальца. Медицинские специалисты могут использовать некоторые системы для определения уровня глюкозы в образце цельной венозной крови.
Результаты образцов, взятых из области предплечья или ладони, могут отличаться от результатов образцов, взятых из пальца. Данное различие вызвано особенностями кровообращения и не зависит от точности показаний системы. Следует проконсультироваться с лечащим врачом при получении образца крови из области предплечья или ладони.
Различия в показаниях уровня глюкозы в крови из фаланги пальца и других участков могут возникнуть после приема пищи, инъекции инсулина или выполнения физических упражнений. Причина этого заключается в том, что уровень сахара в крови изменяется быстрее в фаланге пальца, чем на других участках.
How to use
Before obtaining a blood sample, wash your hands with warm water and soap, rinse, and dry them thoroughly. Remove the cap from the lancing device and insert a sterile lancet. Remove the protective cover.
Reattach the cap.
Insert the test strip (with the gold side and two silver prongs facing you).
Adjust the depth of the puncture on the lancing device. Cock the lancing device and press it firmly against the side of the fingertip.
Press the release button. Gently squeeze the finger until a round drop of blood appears.
Apply the blood sample by touching it to either side of the capillary of the test strip.
When the capillary is filled, it will turn red, and the result will be displayed in 5 seconds.

Перед получением образца крови вымойте руки теплой водой с мылом, ополосните и вытрите их насухо. Снимите колпачок ручки для прокалывания и вставьте стерильный ланцет. Снимите защитную крышку.
Установите колпачок обратно.

Composition
Each test strip contains: flavin adenine dinucleotide-dependent glucose dehydrogenase or FAD-GDH (from Aspergillus fungi) - 2 U; potassium ferricyanide 41 mcg; and other components (buffer solution, etc.).
The vial for the test strips contains a moisture absorber.

• The expiration date is indicated on the bottle.
• Disposal date - 6 months from the date of first opening the bottle of test strips. When opening a new bottle, indicate the disposal date on the label.

OneTouch Verio® blood glucose monitoring systems are calibrated to plasma, allowing their results to be compared with laboratory results. The glucose present in the blood sample mixes with the reagents on the test strip, generating a weak electric current.
The current strength changes proportionally to the amount of glucose in the blood sample. OneTouch Verio® blood glucose monitoring systems measure the current strength, calculate the blood glucose level, and display the result on the screen.

Storage
Store the vial of test strips in a dry, cool place at a temperature between 5 °C and 30 °C. Do not store in the refrigerator. Avoid direct sunlight and heating. Using test strips that have been stored outside the recommended temperature and humidity conditions may lead to inaccurate measurement results.
