How to use

Intravaginally.
Before use, remove the suppository from the blister pack.
Administer 1 suppository of 10 mg twice a day at 12-hour intervals or 1 suppository of 15 mg once a day at 24-hour intervals for 7 days.
Insert the suppository as deeply as possible into the vagina; do not use soap or other soap-based products for genital hygiene for two hours before and two hours after the intravaginal administration of Miramistin® (only clean water should be used for this).
If there is no improvement after treatment, or if symptoms worsen, or if new symptoms appear, consult a doctor. Use the medication only according to the method of administration and in the doses specified in the instructions.

Интравагинально.
Перед применением суппозиторий освобождают от контурной упаковки.
Назначают по 1 суппозиторию 10 мг 2 раза в сутки с интервалом 12 часов или 1 суппозиторию 15 мг 1 раз в сутки с интервалом 24 часа в течение 7 дней.
Вводить суппозиторий как можно глубже во влагалище; не использовать мыло или другие средства на основе мыла для туалета половых органов на протяжении двух часов до и двух часов после интравагинального введения Мирамистина® (для этого следует использовать только чистую воду).

Применение при беременности и в период грудного вскармливания
Согласно имеющимся данным применение препарата при беременности и в период грудного вскармливания возможно, т.к. препарат не обладает системным действием при его использовании в соответствии с инструкцией.

Pharmacology

Miramistin® has a broad spectrum of antimicrobial action, including hospital strains resistant to antibiotics.
The drug exhibits pronounced bactericidal activity against gram-positive (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Streptococcus pneumoniae) and gram-negative (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp.) bacteria, both aerobic and anaerobic, identified in the form of monocultures and microbial associations, including hospital strains with multidrug resistance.
It has antifungal activity against ascomycetes of the genera Aspergillus and Penicillium, yeast (Rhodotorula rubra, Torulopsis glabrata) and yeast-like fungi (Candida albicans, Candida tropicalis, Candida krusei, Pityrosporum orbiculare (Malassezia furfur)), dermatophytes (Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Trichophyton verrucosum, Trichophyton schoenleini, Trichophyton violaceum, Epidermophyton Kaufman-Wolf, Epidermophyton floccosum, Microsporum gypseum, Microsporum canis) in the form of monocultures and microbial associations, including fungal microflora resistant to chemotherapeutic agents.
It possesses antiviral action, being active against complex viruses (herpes viruses, human immunodeficiency virus).
Miramistin® acts on the causative agents of sexually transmitted diseases (Chlamydia spp., Treponema spp., Trichomonas vaginalis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae).
It effectively prevents infection of wounds and burns. It activates regeneration processes. It stimulates protective reactions at the site of application by enhancing the phagocytic and digestive functions of phagocytes, potentiating the activity of the monocyte-macrophage system. It has pronounced hyperosmolar activity, which alleviates wound and perifocal inflammation and absorbs purulent exudate. It does not damage granulations and viable skin cells, nor does it inhibit edge epithelialization.
It does not have local irritant effects or allergenic properties.

When used locally and externally, Miramistin® does not have the ability to be absorbed through the skin and mucous membranes.
