Indications

The drug is used in combination therapy for:
- biliary dyskinesia of the hypokinetic type;
- chronic acalculous cholecystitis;
- chronic hepatitis;
- liver cirrhosis;
- chronic nephritis;
- chronic renal failure.

How to use

Orally. Adults: 2-3 tablets 3 times a day before meals.
Children over 6 years: 1-2 tablets (depending on age) 3 times a day before meals.
Treatment course: 2-3 weeks.
Repetition of treatment courses is possible upon consultation with a doctor.

Composition

Composition (per tablet):
Active ingredient: dry extract of artichoke leaves*, with a chlorogenic acid content of not less than 0.5% based on dry matter - 200.00 mg;
Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, povidone K17, sodium croscarmellose, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate.
Excipients of the coating: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (hypromellose), polyethylene glycol 4000, iron oxide red dye, titanium dioxide, iron oxide black dye.

• The dry extract of artichoke leaves is obtained from fresh artichoke leaves - Cynara scolymus L., family Asteraceae; the ratio of the raw material used to the obtained extract (15-35:1), extracting agent purified water.

Tablets are round, biconvex, coated, and range in color from reddish-brown to brown; on cross-section, the core is from grayish-brown to brown with lighter and darker speckles.

Активный компонент: артишока посевного листьев экстракт сухой*, с содержанием хлорогеновой кислоты в пересчете на сухое вещество не менее 0,5 % - 200,00 мг;
Вспомогательные вещества: целлюлоза микрокристаллическая, повидон К17, кроскармеллоза натрия, кремния диоксид коллоидный, магния стеарат.
Вспомогательные вещества оболочки: гидроксипропилметилцеллюлоза (гипромеллоза), поли¬этиленгликоль 4000, краситель железа оксид красный, титана диоксид, краситель железа оксид черный.

• Артишока посевного листьев экстракт сухой получают из артишока листьев свежих - Cynara scolymus L., сем. сложноцветных - Asteraceae; соотношение используемого сырья к полученному экстракту (15-35:1), экстрагент вода очищенная.

Таблетки круглые двояковыпуклые, покрытые оболочкой от красно-коричневого до коричневого цве¬та; на поперечном разрезе ядро от серовато-коричневого до коричневого цвета с более светлыми и более темными вкраплениями.

Contraindications & warnings

Increased sensitivity to the components of the drug; cholelithiasis; obstruction of the bile ducts; acute liver, kidney, bile, and urinary tract diseases; severe hepatocellular insufficiency. Age under 6 years.
Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding
The use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible only by prescription and under the supervision of a physician.

In case of severe prolonged diarrhea or abdominal pain, the use of the medication should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted.
Effect on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery
The use of the medication does not affect the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities that require increased attention and quick psychomotor reactions (driving vehicles, operating moving machinery, working as a dispatcher or operator).

Повышенная чувствительность к компонентам препарата, желчнокаменная болезнь, непроходимость (обтурация) желчевыводящих путей, острые заболевания печени, почек, желче- и мочевыводящихпутей, тяжелая гепатоцеллюлярная недостаточность. Детский возраст до 6 лет.
Применение при беременности и в период грудного вскармливания
Применение препарата при беременности и в период грудного вскармливания возможно только по назначению и под контролем врача.

В случае развития тяжелой длительной диареи или абдоминальной боли прием препарата должен быть прекращен и следует обратиться к врачу.
Влияние на способность управлять транспортными средствами, механизмами
Применение препарата не оказывает влияния на способность к выполнению потенциально опасных видов деятельности, требующих повышенной концентрации внимания и быстроты психомоторных реакций (управление транспортными средствами, работа с движущимися механизмами, работа диспетчера и оператора).

Side effects, overdose & interactions

Allergic reactions may occur. Prolonged use of the medication in high doses may lead to the development of diarrhea.

To date, no cases of overdose have been reported.

Interactions with other medications are currently unknown.

Pharmacology

The pharmacological effect of the drug is due to a complex of biologically active substances found in the leaves of the globe artichoke. Cynarin, in combination with phenolic acids, has choleretic and hepatoprotective effects. Ascorbic acid, carotene, vitamins B1 and B2, and inulin contribute to the normalization of metabolic processes.
The drug also has a diuretic effect and enhances the excretion of urea.

Фармакологический эффект препарата обусловлен комплексом входящих в состав листьев артишока посевного биологически активных веществ. Цинарин в сочетании с фенолокислотами обладает жел¬чегонным, а также гепатопротективным действием. Аскорбиновая кислота, каротин, витамины В1 и В2, инулин способствуют нормализации обменных процессов.
Препарат обладает также диуретическим действием и усиливает выведение мочевины.
