Pharmacology
Lycopene is a plant pigment belonging to the carotenoid family and possesses strong antioxidant properties. By protecting cells from oxidative processes, lycopene plays an important role in maintaining the health of the prostate gland and the cardiovascular system.
Lycopene cannot be synthesized in the human body and is obtained solely from food. Its sources include red-orange fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, watermelon, grapefruit, beets, and carrots. It is known that the highest concentration of lycopene is found in high-concentration tomato products, such as ketchup or tomato paste. However, these may contain high levels of salt and are therefore not recommended for those with excess weight, cardiovascular disorders, gastrointestinal issues, kidney problems, and many others.
Lycopene Evalar contributes to:
