It has moderate immunomodulatory effects. Possesses interferon-inducing activity, stimulating humoral and cellular immune response, the phagocytic function of macrophages, increases resistance to viral infections. Reduces the incidence of complications associated with a viral infection, and bacterial exacerbations of chronic diseases.
Therapeutic efficacy for viral infections manifest in reducing the severity of intoxication and clinical phenomena, reduction of disease duration.
