Bifidumbacterin 10 pcs. suppositories

Treatment of clinically expressed dysbiosis and inflammatory processes of the intestine in children and adults, vaginal dysbiosis, and nonspecific inflammatory processes of the vagina:

• chronic colitis of various etiologies with pronounced pathological processes in the distal sections of the intestine;

• post-treatment of individuals who have suffered from acute intestinal infections, in the presence of intestinal dysfunctions, pathogen excretion, or pronounced dysbiosis of various etiologies;

• hormone-dependent colpitis: senile and others; prescribed as a standalone treatment against the background of specific hormone therapy;

• preparation for planned gynecological surgeries to prevent postoperative infectious complications; prenatal preparation for pregnant women at risk of developing inflammatory diseases to prevent and treat vaginal dysbiosis;

• as an adjunctive treatment for urogenital infections and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs): gonorrhea, urogenital chlamydia, urogenital herpes, etc.;

• restoration of normal vaginal microflora in conjunction with and after specific antimicrobial, antiviral, and immunomodulating therapy. Combined use of suppositories and oral forms of bifidumbacterin is recommended.

Before use, cut the blister pack.
In cases of intestinal diseases, the suppositories are used rectally 3 times a day at a dose of 1-2 suppositories per administration, in combination with oral forms of bifidumbacterin taken 20-30 minutes before meals at a dose of 5 doses 1-2 times a day. The duration of treatment after acute intestinal infections is 7-10 days; for prolonged and chronic forms of the disease, and intestinal dysbiosis, 15-30 days or more.
In gynecological practice (nonspecific colpitis, vaginal dysbiosis, senile hormonal vaginitis, etc.), the drug is administered vaginally at a dose of 1 suppository 2 times a day for 5-10 days.
In cases of impaired vaginal secretion purity in pregnant women up to III-IV degree, the drug is used at a dose of 1 suppository 1-2 times a day for 5-10 days or more, under the control of restoring vaginal secretion purity to I-II degree and disappearance of clinical symptoms.
To prevent purulent-septic complications during planned gynecological surgeries, 1 suppository is administered 1-2 times a day for 5-10 days before the anticipated surgery or delivery.
Restorative therapy after antibiotic use: the drug is administered at a dose of 1 suppository 1-2 times a day for 10 days. If necessary, the treatment course can be repeated after 10-20 days.

One suppository contains:
Active ingredient: live bifidobacteria - not less than 10^7 CFU;
Excipients: vegetable confectionery fat (cocoa butter substitute) 0.9 g, solid paraffin - 0.1 g, emulsifier T-2 - 0.1 g.

Suppositories of white, yellowish-gray, or various shades of beige color, torpedo-shaped, conical, or cylindrical in form with a specific fatty odor; color heterogeneity in the form of speckles or "marbling" is permissible; the tip of the suppository may be colored from pale yellow to light brown.

Increased sensitivity to the components of the drug. The use of the drug is not recommended in the presence of yeast-like fungi ("candidiasis") due to the risk of exacerbating the condition.
Pregnancy and lactation:
The drug is permitted for use by women during pregnancy and breastfeeding. There are no special conditions for administration.

The product is not suitable for use:

• after the expiration date;

• without labeling;

• if the integrity of the packaging is compromised; with altered physical properties (change in color, presence of a rancid fat odor, deformation of the suppository).
