BOSWELLIA EXTRACT - Dietary supplement (DS)
Appearance and properties: Coated tablets ranging from light yellow to orange in color, with a bitter taste.
Content in 1 tablet:
Curcumin 50.25 mg (100%)
?-Boswellic acids 125 mg (-)
Boswellia extract is a plant-based alternative to NSAIDs for inflammation and discomfort in the joints.
Boswellia extract 500 mg from Evalar contributes to:
• reduction of inflammation in the joints;
• decrease in pain and swelling;
• improvement of blood supply to the joints.
ADVANTAGES OF BOSWELLIA EXTRACT FROM EVALAR
• Standardized extract - contains 125 mg of ?-boswellic acids
• Effective dosage - 500 mg in 1 tablet
• Contains curcumin - it reduces joint pain and helps decrease the intensity of inflammatory processes occurring in the joint.
MECHANISM OF ACTION OF ?-BOSWELLIC ACIDS:
Anti-inflammatory action: ?-Boswellic acids effectively block the synthesis of leukotrienes (similar to the action of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) - hormone-like substances that are one of the main factors of inflammation; they prevent the infiltration of leukocytes and macrophages into cartilage and synovial fluid, reducing the degree of damage to the articular cartilage. Analgesic action: ?-Boswellic acids effectively reduce pain sensations and morning stiffness in the joints, decrease swelling in the joints.
Chondroprotective action: ?-Boswellic acids prevent the release of lysosomal enzymes, reduce the excretion of structural components of cartilage tissue, such as hydroxyproline, hexosamines, and uronic acid, thereby slowing down the processes of cartilage destruction and activating restorative processes.
IN WHICH JOINT DISEASES IS BOSWELLIA EFFECTIVE?
In a double-blind trial, boswellia extract had a positive effect on patients with osteoarthritis of the knee joint. The effect consisted of a reduction in pain and swelling, as well as an increase in joint mobility.
Due to its pronounced anti-inflammatory activity, boswellia can replace or significantly reduce the dosage of synthetic anti-inflammatory drugs usually prescribed for arthritis and arthrosis.
To achieve the desired effect, a daily intake of up to 1000 mg of standardized boswellia extract may be possible.
Studies on the toxicity of boswellia did not show pathological changes in the blood.

МЕХАНИЗМ ДЕЙСТВИЯ ?-БОСВЕЛЛИЕВЫХ КИСЛОТ:
Противовоспалительное действие: ?-босвеллиевые кислоты эффективно блокирует синтез лейкотриенов (аналогичное действию нестероидных противовоспалительных препаратов) - гормоноподобных веществ, которые являются одним из главных факторов воспаления; препятствует проникновению лейкоцитов и макрофагов в хрящ и суставную жидкость, уменьшая степень поражения суставного хряща. Обезболивающее действие: ?-босвеллиевые кислоты эффективно снижают болевые ощущения и утреннюю скованность суставов, уменьшают отек в суставах.
Хондропротекторное действие: ?-босвеллиевые кислоты препятствует высвобождению лизосомальных ферментов, снижает выведение структурных компонентов хрящевой ткани, таких как гидроксипролин, гексозамины и уроновая кислота, в результате чего замедляются процессы разрушения хряща и активизируются восстановительные процессы.
ПРИ КАКИХ БОЛЕЗНЯХ СУСТАВОВ ЭФФЕКТИВНА БОСВЕЛЛИЯ?
В ходе двойного слепого испытания экстракт босвеллии оказал положительный эффект на пациентов с остеоартритом коленного сустава. Эффект заключался в уменьшении болей и припухлостей, а также в повышении подвижности сустава.
В силу своей выраженной противовоспалительной активности, босвеллия может заменять или существенно уменьшать дозу синтетических противовоспалительных препаратов, обычно назначаемых при артрите, артрозе.
Для достижения желаемого эффекта возможен прием до 1000 мг стандартизированного экстракта босвеллии в сутки.
Исследования на токсичность босвеллии патологических изменений в крови не показали.
