How to use
Method of application and doses
The drug is taken orally, before meals, diluted in a small amount of water.
Adults: 2.5-5.0 ml of solution 3 times a day.
The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks.
Children: depending on age, the drug is prescribed in a dose ranging from 1/4 to 1/2 of the dose used in adults.
Use the drug according to the indications, the method of application, and in the doses specified in the instructions.
If there is no improvement after treatment, or if symptoms worsen, or new symptoms appear, it is necessary to consult a doctor.

Препарат принимают внутрь, до еды, разбавляя в небольшом количестве воды
Взрослым: по 2,5-5,0 мл раствора 3 раза в сутки.
Курс лечения - 2-3 недели.
Детям: в зависимости от возраста препарат назначают в дозе, составляющей от 1/4 до 1/2 дозы, применяемой у взрослых.
Применяйте препарат согласно показаниям, тому способу применения и в тех дозах, которые указаны в инструкции

Increased sensitivity to the components of the drug, cholelithiasis, obstruction of the bile ducts, acute liver, kidney, bile, and urinary tract diseases, severe hepatocellular insufficiency. If you have any of the above-mentioned diseases/conditions or risk factors, you should consult a doctor before using the drug.
With caution
Due to the content of ethyl alcohol, the drug should be used with caution in cases of alcoholism, traumatic brain injury, brain diseases, and epilepsy. If you have any of the above-mentioned diseases/conditions or risk factors, you should consult a doctor before using the drug.
Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding
The use of Hofitol during pregnancy and breastfeeding is only possible by prescription and under the supervision of a doctor.
Special Instructions
In case of severe prolonged diarrhea or abdominal pain, the use of the medication should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted. If symptoms of the disease persist or worsen while using the medication for 2 weeks, this should be reported to the attending physician. One teaspoon of the medication solution (5 ml) contains 0.20 g of absolute ethyl alcohol. The content of absolute ethyl alcohol in the daily dose: when taking 2.5 ml 3 times a day - 0.30 g, when taking 5.0 ml 3 times a day - 0.60 g. After opening, the solution should be stored in a cool, light-protected place for 1 month.
Effect on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery
During treatment with the medication, caution should be exercised when performing potentially dangerous activities that require increased attention and quick psychomotor reactions.

В связи с содержанием этилового спирта препарат следует применять с осторожностью при алкоголизме, черепно-мозговой травме, заболеваниях головного мозга, эпилепсии.

Применение при беременности и в период грудного вскармливания
Применение препарата Хофитол при беременности и в период грудного вскармливания возможно только по назначению и под контролем врача
В случае развития тяжелой длительной диареи или абдоминальной боли прием препарата должен быть прекращен и следует обратиться к врачу.
При сохранении симптомов заболевания или ухудшения состояния на фоне применения препарата в течение 2-х недель следует сообщить об этом лечащему врачу.
Одна чайная ложка раствора препарата (5 мл) содержит 0,20 г абсолютного этилового спирта.
Содержание абсолютного этилового спирта в суточной дозе: при приеме по 2,5 мл 3 раза в день - 0,30 г, при приеме по 5,0 мл 3 раза в день -0,60 г.
После вскрытия раствор храниться в прохладном, защищенном от света месте в течение 1 месяца

В период лечения препаратом следует соблюдать осторожность при выполнении потенциально опасных видов деятельности, требующих повышенной концентрации внимания и быстроты психомоторных реакций

Pharmacodynamics
The pharmacological effect of the drug is due to the complex of biologically active substances contained in Field Artichoke. Cynarin, in combination with phenolic acids, has a choleretic and hepatoprotective effect. The ascorbic acid, carotene, vitamins B1 and B2, and inulin found in artichoke contribute to lowering cholesterol levels in the blood and normalizing metabolic processes. Hofitol increases diuresis and enhances the excretion of urea.
