Collagen "Beauty" is a biologically active food supplement (BAA) available in solid gelatin capsules of opaque white color, weighing 0.28 g.
Description and traditions of dietary use of plant components.
Sea buckthorn (Hippophaë rhamnoides) is a dioecious shrub or tree, a species of the genus Sea buckthorn (Hippophaë), family Elaeagnaceae. The fruits of sea buckthorn are considered polyvitaminic. They contain provitamin A (up to 10.9 mg%) and vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B6, C, E, K, etc.). The fruits contain 3-6% sugars (glucose and fructose), organic acids (up to 2.5%) - malic, tartaric, and others, tannins, the yellow coloring pigment quercetin, and fatty oil (9% in the pulp, 12% in the seeds). The fruits accumulate fatty oil, which consists of triglycerides with saturated and unsaturated fatty acids, among which monounsaturated acids (palmitoleic, oleic) prevail; pectins, organic acids, tannins, flavonoids, nicotinic and folic acids, macro- and microelements (boron, iron, zinc, copper, manganese, potassium, calcium), sugars, and some types of plant antibiotics. The oil from the pulp of the fruits has a bright orange color, while that from the seeds is yellowish. The oil from the seeds and pulp differs slightly in composition. The oil from the pulp contains up to 0.350% carotene and carotenoids, thiamine and riboflavin, a considerable amount of tocopherol (0.165%), and a significant amount of essential fatty acids. Agricultural crop. The fruits of sea buckthorn have dietary significance; they are consumed fresh and canned as a spicy-aromatic and flavoring additive. Sea buckthorn juice with a pineapple scent, puree, jam, marmalade, and fillings for candies are made from sea buckthorn. The juice is used for producing and flavoring wine, soft drinks, liqueurs, and tinctures; fresh fruits, after freezing, lose some bitterness and are used for making kissels, tinctures, and jellies.
Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) participates in redox reactions (approved by Rospotrebnadzor on 18.12.2008).
Beta-carotene. The beta-carotene found in sea buckthorn fruits is a provitamin A and possesses antioxidant properties; 6 mcg of beta-carotene is equivalent to 1 mcg of vitamin A. The average intake in different countries is 1.8 - 5.0 mg/day. The upper acceptable level of intake has not been established. The physiological requirement for adults is 5 mg/day.

Облепи́ха крушинови́дная, или круши́новая (лат. Hippóphaë rhamnóides) -двудомный кустарник или дерево, вид рода Облепиха (Hippophaë), семейства Лоховые (Elaeagnaceae). Плоды облепихи относят к поливитаминным. Они содержат провитамины А (до 10,9 мг%) и витамины (B1, B2, B3, B6,C, E, К и др.). Плоды содержат 3-6 % сахаров (глюкоза и фруктоза), органические кислоты (до 2,5 %) - яблочную, винную и др., дубильные вещества, жёлтый красящий пигмент кверцетин, жирное масло (9 % в мякоти, 12 % в косточках). В плодах накапливается жирное масло, которое состоит из триацилглицеринов с насыщенными и ненасыщеннымижирными кислотами, среди последних преобладают мононенасыщенные (пальмитоолеиновая, олеиновая) кислоты; пектиновые вещества, органические кислоты, дубильные вещества, флавоноиды, никотиновая и фолиевая кислоты, макро- и микроэлементы (бор, железо, цинк, медь, марганец, калий, кальций), сахара и некоторые виды растительных антибиотиков. Масло из мякоти плодов имеет ярко-оранжевую окраску, из семян - желтоватую. Масло из семян и мякоти несколько различается по составу. Масло из мякоти плодов содержит до 0,350 % каротина и каротиноидов, тиамин и рибофлавин, в довольно большом количестве (0,165 %) токоферол и значительное количество незаменимых жирных кислот. Сельскохозяйственная культура. Плоды облепихи имеют пищевое значение, их употребляют в пищу в свежем и консервированном виде в качестве пряно-ароматической и пряно-вкусовой добавки. Из облепихи приготовляют облепиховый сок с запахом ананаса, пюре, повидло, мармелад, варенье, начинки для конфет. Сок используется для получения и ароматизации вина, прохладительных напитков, наливок, настоек; свежие плоды после промораживания несколько теряют горечь и используются для приготовления киселей, настоек и желе.
Витамин C (L-аскорбиновая кислота) участвует в окислительно-восстановительных ции" (утв. Роспотребнадзором 18.12.2008).
Бета-каротин. Бета-каротин, содержащийся в плодах облепихи, является провитамином A и обладает антиоксидантными свойствами; 6 мкг бета-каротина эквивалентны 1 мкг витамина A. Среднее потребление в разных странах 1,8 - 5,0 мг/сут. Верхний допустимый уровень потребления не установлен. Физиологическая потребность для взрослых - 5 мг/сут.
