Indications
The drug is used in combination therapy for:
? erectile dysfunction, including that accompanied by decreased libido;
? male infertility due to idiopathic oligoasthenoteratozoospermia (reduction in the quantity and quality of sperm in the ejaculate), surgical intervention for varicocele (varicose veins of the spermatic cord), immunological infertility;
? dyslipidemia to lower total cholesterol levels.

How to use
Orally, after meals.
For erectile dysfunction and infertility: 1-2 tablets 3 times a day. Duration of treatment is at least 90 days. The treatment course can be repeated upon doctor's recommendation.
For dyslipidemia to lower total cholesterol levels: 2 tablets 3 times a day. Course duration - at least 3 months. Repeat courses - upon doctor's recommendation.

Composition per tablet
Active ingredient: dry extract of creeping thyme herb (35:45 : 1, extraction solvent ethanol 70%) with a content of total furostanol saponins calculated as protodioscin and dry substance 45% – 250.0 mg.
Excipients: lactose – 228.0 mg, potato starch – 55.2 mg, microcrystalline cellulose – 50.8 mg, povidone K17 – 39.1 mg, crospovidone – 34.5 mg, talc – 20.7 mg, colloidal silicon dioxide – 6.9 mg, calcium stearate – 4.8 mg.
Excipients of the coating: hypromellose (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) – 15.17 mg, macrogol-400 (polyethylene glycol 400) – 4.55 mg, iron oxide red dye – 2.12 mg, titanium dioxide – 1.52 mg, polysorbate-80 – 0.76 mg, iron oxide black dye – 0.58 mg, talc – 0.30 mg.
Tablets are round, biconvex, coated with a brown film; on cross-section, they are light brown in color, with the presence of specks of brown, white, and yellowish-white colors being permissible.

Contraindications & warnings
Increased sensitivity to any component of the drug.
Prostate gland hyperplasia.
Severe cardiovascular diseases (stroke, myocardial infarction) within the last year or severe, unstable, and uncontrolled cardiovascular diseases (unstable angina, chronic heart failure with symptoms at rest, sick sinus syndrome, or conduction disorders such as sinoatrial block, atrioventricular block of II or III degree, bradycardia < 50 beats/min) and kidney diseases (severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance 180 µmol/l)).
Galactosemia, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding period.
Age under 18 years.
With caution
Patients with diabetes mellitus.
Before starting the medication, it is advisable to consult a doctor.
If there is no effect after taking the medication for 1 month, a consultation with a doctor is recommended. To avoid possible irritating effects of the medication on the gastric mucosa, it is recommended to take the medication after meals.
Patients with diabetes should be aware that each tablet contains lactose and starch. The medication should not be prescribed to patients with galactosemia, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome.

Гиперплазия предстательной железы.
Тяжелые сердечно-сосудистые заболевания (инсульт, инфаркт миокарда) в течение последнего года или тяжелые, нестабильные и неконтролируемые сердечно-сосудистые заболевания (нестабильная стенокардия, хроническая сердечная недостаточность с симптомами в покое, синдром слабости синусового узла или такие нарушения проводимости как синоатриальный блок, атриовентрикулярная блокада II или III степени, брадикардия < 50 ударов/мин) и почечные заболевания (тяжелая почечная недостаточность (клиренс креатинина 180 мкмоль/л)).
Галактоземия, дефицит лактазы Лаппа или синдром мальабсорбции глюкозы-галактозы.
Беременность и период грудного вскармливания.
Возраст до 18 лет.

Пациентам с сахарным диабетом.
Перед тем как начать прием препарата, следует проконсультироваться с врачом.
При отсутствии эффекта на фоне приема препарата в течение 1 месяца следует проконсультироваться с врачом. Во избежание возможного раздражающего действия препарата на слизистую оболочку желудка рекомендуется принимать препарат после еды.
Пациенты с сахарным диабетом должны учитывать, что каждая таблетка содержит лактозу и крахмал. Препарат не следует назначать пациентам с галактоземией, дефицитом лактазы Лаппа или синдромом мальабсорбции глюкозы-галактозы.
Side effects, overdose & interactions
Allergic reactions may occur. Irritating effect on the gastric mucosa (nausea).
In case of side effects, including those not described in the instructions, consult a doctor.
There are no reports of overdose cases with the drug. When the drug is used in doses exceeding the recommended amounts, dyspeptic disorders (nausea, vomiting) may occur.
Symptomatic treatment is recommended.
The drug may enhance the action of diuretics and potentiate the hypotensive effect of antihypertensive agents.

Pharmacology
EFFEX® Tribulus is a plant-based product derived from the aerial parts of Tribulus terrestris L., containing primarily furostanol-type steroid saponins. It has a general tonic effect and stimulates certain functions of the reproductive system. In men, it restores and enhances sexual libido, prolongs the duration of erections. It stimulates spermatogenesis, increasing both the quantity and motility of sperm. The mechanism of action of the Tribulus extract is unknown. It is suggested that the predominant compound protodioscin is metabolized in the body to dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which has a beneficial effect on immunity, cell membrane integrity, erectile function, and cholesterol metabolism. It is known that cholesterol is the precursor for the synthesis of all steroids, including DHEA, testosterone, and estradiol, which explains the hypolipidemic effect of the product. Other active furostanol saponins present in the Tribulus extract likely modulate the effect of protodioscin. The medicinal product has a hypolipidemic effect, reducing total cholesterol and low-density lipoproteins in patients with lipoproteinemia, while not affecting serum triglyceride and high-density lipoprotein levels.
Pharmacological studies in humans have not been conducted. The dry extract of creeping anchor grass contains a complex of biologically active substances, which makes pharmacokinetic studies impossible.

ЭФФЕКС® Трибулус - средство растительного происхождения, получаемое из надземной части якорцев стелющихся (Tribulus terrestris L.), содержит преимущественно стероидные сапонины фуростанолового типа. Оказывает общетонизирующее действие и стимулирует некоторые функции половой системы. У мужчин восстанавливает и улучшает сексуальное либидо, удлиняет время эрекции. Стимулирует сперматогенез, увеличивая количество сперматозоидов и их подвижность. Механизм действия якорцев стелющихся экстракта неизвестен. Предполагается, что преобладающее соединение протодиосцин метаболизируется в организме до дегидроэпиандростерона (DHEA), который оказывает благоприятный эффект на иммунитет, целостность клеточной мембраны, эректильную функцию и метаболизм холестерина. Известно, что холестерин является исходным веществом для синтеза всех стероидов, включительно DHEA, тестостерона и эстрадиола, чем объясняется и гиполипидемический эффект препарата. Другие активные фуростаноловые сапонины, входящие в состав якорцев стелющихся экстракта, вероятно, модулируют эффект протодиосцина. Лекарственный препарат обладает гиполипидемическим эффектом, причем у пациентов с липопротеинемией снижает общий холестерин и липопротеиды низкой плотности, не влияет на значения сывороточных триглицеридов и липопротеидов высокой плотности
Фармакологические исследования у людей не проводились. Якорцев стелющихся травы экстракт сухой содержит комплекс биологически активных веществ, в связи с чем проведение фармакокинетических исследований не представляется возможным

It has a general tonic effect and stimulates certain functions of the reproductive system. In men, it restores and enhances sexual libido, prolongs the duration of erections.
