Symptomatic treatment of infectious-inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and throat accompanied by sore throat and oral pain: pharyngitis, tonsillitis, periodontitis, gingivitis, stomatitis.

How to use

Locally. Used after meals, by dissolving in the mouth without chewing.
Immediately after using the medication, refrain from eating and drinking for 1-2 hours.
Dosage for children aged 4 to 12 years: 1 tablet 4 times a day. Maximum daily dose - 4 tablets.
Dosage for children over 12 years and adults: 2 tablets (one after another within 20-30 minutes) 4 times a day. Maximum daily dose - 8 tablets.
If there is no therapeutic effect within 7 days of taking the medication, it is recommended to consult a doctor.

Местно. Применяется после еды, путем рассасывания во рту, не разжевывая.
Непосредственно после применения препарата следует воздержаться от приема пищи и напитков в течение 1-2 часов.
Дозировка для детей от 4 до 12 лет: по 1 таблетке 4 раза в день. Максимальная суточная доза - 4 таблетки.
Дозировка для детей старше 12 лет и взрослых: по 2 таблетки (одну за другой в течение 20-30 минут) 4 раза в день. Максимальная суточная доза - 8 таблеток.
При отсутствии терапевтического эффекта в течение 7 дней приема препарата рекомендуется обращение к врачу.

Composition

One tablet contains:
active ingredients:
gramicidine C dihydrochloride - 1.60 mg (calculated as gramicidine C - 1.50 mg); cetylpyridinium chloride monohydrate - 1.05 mg (calculated as cetylpyridinium chloride - 1.00 mg);
excipients: colloidal silicon dioxide - 5.00 mg, talc - 60.00 mg, citric acid monohydrate - 36.00 mg, aspartame - 12.00 mg, raspberry flavoring - 3.60 mg, sorbitol - 1055.75 mg, magnesium stearate - 25.00 mg.

Tablets of white or almost white color, round, biconvex, with the imprint "GR" on one side and a raspberry scent. Slight marbling is permissible.

Contraindications & warnings

-increased sensitivity to the components of the drug;
-phenylketonuria (the drug contains aspartame);
-lactation period;
-children under 4 years of age.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Pregnant women should consult a doctor before using the drug. The use of the drug is possible if the potential benefit to the mother outweighs the possible risk to the fetus.
Breastfeeding should be discontinued during treatment.

Grammidin® for children should not be taken in the presence of open wounds in the oral cavity, as cetylpyridinium chloride slows down wound healing.
Effect of the drug on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery:
The drug does not affect the performance of potentially hazardous activities that require special attention and quick reactions (driving a car and other vehicles, working with moving machinery, dispatcher and operator work, etc.).

Side effects, overdose & interactions

Possible allergic reactions to the components of the drug; gastrointestinal disorders (nausea, diarrhea).

Symptoms: Taking the medication in doses exceeding the recommended amount may cause gastrointestinal disturbances due to changes in bacterial flora: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
Treatment: Discontinue use of the medication and consult a doctor.

Currently, there are no reported cases of clinically significant interactions with other medications.

Возможны аллергические реакции на компоненты препарата, желудочно-кишечные расстройства (тошнота, диарея).

Pharmacology

Combined preparation for the symptomatic treatment of infectious-inflammatory diseases of the throat and oral cavity. The composition of the preparation includes the antimicrobial agent gramicidin C and the antiseptic agent - cetylpyridinium chloride. The mechanism of action of gramicidin C is associated with increased permeability of the cytoplasmic membrane of the microbial cell, which disrupts its stability and leads to cell death. Gramicidin C exhibits antibacterial (bactericidal) action against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms. Cetylpyridinium chloride belongs to antiseptic agents, suppressing the growth and reproduction of pathogens of infectious diseases of the oral cavity. The preparation has antimicrobial action, reduces inflammation, alleviates discomfort in the throat, facilitates swallowing, and upon dissolution causes hypersalivation, which aids in the mechanical cleansing of the oral cavity and pharynx from microorganisms.

Комбинированный препарат для симптоматического лечения инфекционно-воспалительных заболеваний горла и полости рта. В состав препарата входит противомикробное средство грамицидин С и антисептическое средство - цетилпиридиния хлорид. Механизм действия грамицидина С связан с повышением проницаемости цитоплазматической мембраны микробной клетки, что нарушает ее устойчивость и вызывает гибель. Грамицидин С оказывает антибактериальное (бактерицидное) действие в отношении широкого спектра грамположительных и грамотрицательных микроорганизмов. Цетилпиридиния хлорид относится к антисептическим средствам, подавляет рост и размножение возбудителей инфекционных заболеваний полости рта. Препарат оказывает противомикробное действие, уменьшает воспаление, смягчает неприятные ощущения в горле, облегчает глотание, при рассасывании вызывает гиперсаливацию, что способствует механическому очищению полости рта и глотки от микроорганизмов.
