Indications
The drug is used for the treatment of functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract (including irritable bowel syndrome), manifested by heaviness in the epigastric region, stomach or intestinal spasms, belching, nausea, flatulence, constipation, diarrhea, or their alternation, as well as in the complex therapy of gastritis, peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum.

Препарат применяется для лечения функциональных расстройств желудочно-кишечного тракта (в том числе синдрома раздраженного кишечника), проявляющихся тяжестью в эпигастральной области, спазмами желудка или кишечника, отрыжкой, тошнотой, метеоризмом, запором, диареей или их чередованием, а так же в составе комплексной терапии гастрита, язвенной болезни желудка и двенадцатиперстной кишки.
How to use
For oral use, adults and children over 12 years old: 20 drops 3 times a day, before or during meals, with a small amount of water. Hold the bottle at a 45° angle during application. The duration of therapy is 4 weeks. Extension of the duration and conducting repeated treatment courses is possible upon doctor's recommendation.
Instructions for preparing the bottle for use:
1. Unscrew the white cap of the bottle with first-opening control, which contains the adapter and aluminum membrane.
2. Separate the white and green caps and dispose of the white cap.
3. Attach the green cap, which contains the dropper, to the bottle and screw it on.

100 ml of the preparation contains:
Iberis amara (Iberis amara L., Cruciferae) whole fresh plant liquid extract (extractant ethanol 50%) 1:1.5-2.5 15.0 ml
Angelica archangelica (Angelica archangelica L., Umbelliferae) dried root liquid extract (extractant ethanol 30%) 1:2.5-3.5 10.0 ml
Matricaria chamomilla (Matricaria chamomilla L., Compositae) dried flower liquid extract (extractant ethanol 30%) 1:2.0-4.0 20.0 ml
Carum carvi (Carum carvi L., Umbelliferae) dried fruit liquid extract (extractant ethanol 30%) 1:2.5-3.5 10.0 ml

Contraindications & warnings
Increased sensitivity to the components of the drug; calculous cholecystitis. Age under 12 years (due to insufficient clinical data).
With caution:
Liver diseases, alcoholism, traumatic brain injury, brain diseases - due to the ethanol content in the drug. Age from 12 years.
If signs or symptoms of liver dysfunction appear (jaundice, dark urine, pale stools), patients should immediately discontinue use of the product and consult a doctor. If symptoms of the disease persist or worsen while using the product for 7 days, this should be reported to the attending physician. Children over 12 years of age with abdominal pain should consult a doctor.
The content of ethyl alcohol in the product ranges from 29.5% to 32.6% (by volume).
When taking a single dose (20 drops), the patient receives up to 0.24 g of absolute ethyl alcohol. The maximum daily dose of the product (60 drops) contains up to 0.72 g of absolute ethyl alcohol.
During storage, slight cloudiness or the formation of a minor sediment may occur, which does not affect the therapeutic efficacy of the product.
Before use, the contents of the bottle should be shaken.

Повышенная чувствительность к компонентам препарата, калькулезный холецистит. Детский возраст до 12 лет (из-за недостаточности клинических данных).
С осторожностью
Заболевания печени, алкоголизм, черепно-мозговая травма, заболевания головного мозга - из-за содержания этанола в препарате. Детский возраст с 12 лет.
При появлении признаков или симптомов нарушения со стороны печени (желтуха, потемнение мочи, обесцвечивание стула), пациентам следует немедленно прекратить применение препарата и обратиться к врачу. При сохранении симптомов заболевания или ухудшения состояния на фоне применения препарата в течение 7 дней следует сообщить об этом лечащему врачу. Детям старше 12 лет при наличии боли в животе необходимо пройти консультацию у врача.
Содержание в составе препарата этилового спирта составляет от 29,5 до 32,6 % (по объему).
При приеме 1 разовой дозы (20 капель) пациент получает до 0,24 г абсолютного этилового спирта. В максимальной суточной дозе препарата (60 капель) содержится до 0,72 г абсолютного этилового спирта.
В процессе хранения возможно легкое помутнение или выпадение незначительного осадка, что не оказывает влияния на терапевтическую эффективность препарата.
Перед применением содержимое флакона следует взбалтывать.
Side effects, overdose & interactions
The frequency of adverse reactions according to the MedDRA classification is defined as follows: very common (≥ 1/10); common (≥ 1/100, ˂ 1/10); uncommon (≥ 1/1000, ˂ 1/100); rare (≥ 1/10000, ˂ 1/1000); very rare (˂ 1/10000); and frequency unknown (it cannot be determined based on available data).
Immune system disorders
Very rare: allergic reactions (skin itching, skin rash, shortness of breath).
Liver and biliary tract disorders
Frequency unknown: there have been isolated reports of liver damage, acute liver failure, hepatitis, elevated transaminase and bilirubin levels.
If you experience any of the side effects listed in the instructions, or if they worsen, or if you notice any other side effects not listed in the instructions, discontinue the medication and inform your doctor.
To date, no cases of overdose have been reported.
Interactions with other medications have not been described at this time.

Pharmacology
The drug has a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect and normalizes the tone of the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract: it helps to relieve spasms without affecting normal peristalsis, and in cases of reduced tone and motility, it exerts a tonic, prokinetic effect. In in vitro experiments, it inhibits the growth of 6 subtypes of Helicobacter pylori. Iberogast® reduces the intensity of gastric mucosal ulceration, decreases hydrochloric acid secretion, reduces leukotriene concentration, enhances mucin production, and increases the concentration of mucoprotective prostaglandin E2 in the gastric mucosa.

Препарат обладает выраженным противовоспалительным действием, а также нормализует тонус гладкой мускулатуры желудочно-кишечного тракта: способствует устранению спазма без влияния на нормальную перистальтику, а при пониженном тонусе и моторике оказывает тонизирующее, прокинетическое действие. В эксперименте in vitro ингибирует рост 6 подвидов Helicobacter pylori. Иберогаст® снижает интенсивность изъязвления слизистой оболочки желудка, секреции соляной кислоты, уменьшает концентрацию лейкотриенов, усиливает продукцию муцинов, повышает концентрацию мукопротективного простагландина Е2 в слизистой оболочке желудка.
