However, many girls underestimate the importance of specialized cleansing products for the intimate area.
This area requires the most gentle care.
Why?
The fact is that each area of our body has its own pH level: acid-base balance.
The lower the pH value, the more acidic the environment; the higher, the more alkaline.
For example, the pH:
oral cavity - 7.0,
skin of the face and body - 5.5,
skin of the legs - 7.2.
That is why there are different products for different parts of the body.
The intimate area has a more acidic environment: from 3.5 to 5.2.
The natural acidic environment is an important protective mechanism of the intimate microflora, which prevents the active reproduction of pathogenic bacteria, thus protecting women from discomfort and bacterial infections. This is why balanced pH is so important for women's intimate health.
If the acidic environment of the intimate area changes to alkaline, it can lead to disruption of the natural microflora and dysbiosis, which manifests as an unpleasant "fishy" odor, itching, redness, burning, and discharge.
What factors can change the acidic environment to alkaline? These are things we encounter daily: use of soap and shower gels, intimate contact, menstruation, sports activities, swimming in pools, taking medications, as well as pregnancy, postpartum period, and menopause.

One of the most common factors disrupting the microflora of the intimate area is the use of regular soap or shower gel.
