How to use

1. Ozokerite should be heated in a water bath to a melting temperature (65-80°C);
2. The melted ozokerite is poured into a container in a layer of 1-3 cm, with the bottom of the container lined with cotton fabric;
3. After a few minutes, ozokerite cooled to 40-45°C is applied to the affected area of the body as a compress;
4. Finally, the compress is wrapped in a film or polyethylene bag, then in wool fabric;
5. The duration of the procedure is 1-2 hours until the ozokerite is completely cooled, after which the ozokerite is removed.
Thus, ozokerite is prepared in a water bath, ozokerite cooled to 40-45 degrees is applied to the affected area of the body as an application (the method of layering ozokerite can be used: with a clean brush, apply melted liquid ozokerite to the skin in several layers - up to 3 cm as it cools), and it should be wrapped in polyethylene film/plastic wrap and insulated (to avoid rapid cooling). Keep until the ozokerite cools (30-90 min), then remove the ozokerite from the body.
Ozokerite can be used multiple times.
Warning: DO NOT HEAT ON OPEN FLAME!
There are several methods for ozokerite therapy:
1. Layering
- Melted ozokerite at a temperature of 50-55 degrees is applied with a flat paintbrush to the corresponding area of skin, previously smeared with petroleum jelly or some indifferent ointment;
- The next layer of ozokerite can be applied hot, at a temperature of up to 70-80 degrees. After applying a layer of ozokerite 1-2 cm thick, it is covered with film and wrapped in a blanket.
- Course of procedures - 7-20 applications. Ozokerite can be used multiple times.
2. Ozokerite bath
- The hand or foot is coated with ozokerite at a temperature of up to 50-55 degrees;
- It is immersed in a polyethylene bag filled with ozokerite at a temperature of 65-70 degrees;
- The bag is tied (tightened) at the top;
- The limb is wrapped in a blanket.
3. Gauze application method
- A gauze napkin, soaked in ozokerite and folded in 6-8 layers, is squeezed with tweezers and spread out on film to cool to a temperature no higher than 45-50 degrees.
- A second gauze napkin, slightly smaller in size, is cooled to 60-70 degrees and placed on top of the first gauze napkin.
- An ozokerite compress is made from 2 such multilayer gauze napkins, placing them one on top of the other.
- They are covered with film on top and all wrapped in a blanket.
4. Application method
- Melted ozokerite is poured into a metal tray (baking sheet) 5 cm deep, lined with film that extends 5 cm beyond the edges of the tray.
- A suitable size tray is selected.
- As it cools in the tray, ozokerite turns into a hot cake 2-5 cm thick.
- Turning the tray upside down, the cake at a temperature of 50-60 degrees is applied to the patient's skin along with the film.
- Everything is wrapped in a blanket.
- This method excludes the use of ozokerite at high temperatures.

1. Озокерит необходимо разогреть на водяной бане до температуры плавления (65-80°С);
2. Расплавленный озокерит выливают в посуду слоем 1-3 см, предварительно выстелив дно посуды х/б тканью;
3. Через несколько минут остывший до 40-45°С озокерит накладывают на проблемный участок тела в виде компресса;
4. В заключении компресс оборачивают клеенкой или полиэтиленовым пакетом, затем - шерстяной тканью;
5. Длительность процедуры - 1-2 часа до полного остывания озокерита, после чего озокерит удаляют.
Таким образом, озокерит готовят на водяной бане, озокерит, остывший до 40-45 градусов, накладывают на проблемный участок тела в виде аппликации (можно использовать метод наслаивания озокерита: чистой кистью расплавленный жидкий озокерит нанести на кожу в несколько слоев - до Зсм при остывании), сверху следует обернуть полиэтиленовой пленкой/клеенкой, утеплить (во избежание быстрого остывания). Держать до остывания озокерита (30-90 мин), затем озокерит удалить с тела.
Озокерит можно использовать многократно.

Существует несколько методик проведения озокеритолечения:
1. Наслаивание
· Расплавленный озокерит температуры 50-55 градусов наносят плоской малярной кистью на соответствующий участок кожи, предварительно смазанный вазелином или какой-нибудь индифферентной мазью;
· Следующий слой озокерита можно уже наносить горячим, температура до 70-80 градусов. После наложения слоя озокерита толщиной 1-2 см, его покрывают клеенкой и широко укутывают одеялом.
· Курс процедур - 7-20 аппликаций. Озокерит можно использовать многократно.
2. Озокеритовая ванна
· Кисть или стопу обмазывают озокеритом температуры до 50-55 градусов;
· Погружают в клеенчатый мешок, наполненный озокеритом температуры 65-70 градусов;
· Мешок завязывают (стягивают) сверху;
· Конечность укутывают одеялом.
3. Салфеточно-аппликационная методика
· Марлевую салфетку, смоченную озокеритом и сложенную в 6-8 слоев, отжимают с помощью пинцетов и распластывают на клеенке для остывания до температуры не выше 45-50 градусов.
· Вторую марлевую салфетку несколько меньшую по размерам остужают до 60-70 градусов помещают поверх первой марлевой салфетки.
· Озокеритовый компресс делают из 2-х таких многослойных марлевых салфеток, располагая их одна над другой.
· Сверху их закрывают клеенкой и все укутывают одеялом.
4. Аппликационная методика
· Расплавленный озокерит наливают в металлическую кювету (противень) глубиной 5см на предварительно положенную в нее клеенку, которая выступает за края кюветы на 5см.
· Подбирают подходящий размер кюветы.
· Остывая в кювете, озокерит превращается в горячую лепешку толщиной 2-5 см.
· Переворачивая кювету вверх дном, лепешку температурой 50-60 градусов вместе с клеенкой накладывают на кожу больного.
· Все укутывают одеялом.
· Эта методика исключает применение озокерита высокой температуры.

Ozokerite is characterized by low thermal conductivity and high heat capacity and heat retention ability. Ozokerite warms the skin area, thereby improving blood supply, increasing skin tone, and giving it a healthy appearance. The ability of ozokerite to decrease in volume upon cooling leads to deeper heat distribution, making the skin elastic, smoothing out wrinkles, and promoting tissue regeneration.
The biologically active substances contained in ozokerite penetrate through the skin into the body, saturating it with necessary elements.
The use of ozokerite is most beneficial in the treatment of inflammatory and metabolic-dystrophic diseases. Ozokerite applications positively affect inflammatory processes, accelerate recovery processes, enhance immune indicators, normalize the tone of the autonomic nervous system, and stimulate blood circulation.
Treatment with ozokerite increases the effectiveness of spa therapy, and ozokerite is equally effective when used at home.
