How to use
1. Wrap the tourniquet around the limb, ensuring the strap is not twisted, and insert the clasp into the housing.
2. Pull on the free end of the tourniquet to restrict blood circulation.
3. To remove the tourniquet, press the button and release the clasp.

Pharmacology
Venous tourniquet with plastic fastener brand "MERIDIAN"
Main characteristics:
• loop material - soft elastic rubber-fabric tape
• weight no more than 0.1 kg
• diameter of the free loop - 135 mm, stretched - up to 250 mm
• length in a free state 40 cm ± 0.5 cm, width 2.5 cm
• load capacity of at least 8 kgf
The tourniquet consists of:
1) elastic tape, one end of which has a tip, and the other end has a clasp;
2) a body with a locking-unlocking mechanism, controlled by a button located on its outer side.
The button performs two functions:
a) pressing the rear edge, facing the tip, releases the locking mechanism, thereby freeing the elastic tape from the grip;
b) pressing the front edge, facing the clasp, releases the clasp, thus allowing the tourniquet to unfasten.
Advantages:
• unlike rubber tourniquets, it does not cause pain and skin pinching when compressed;
• high comfort and ease of use for nurses: the loop can be easily compressed with one hand;
• the degree of compression of the loop is easily adjustable: increased by pulling the tip of the tourniquet, decreased and unfastened with light presses on the button;
• ALL actions with the tourniquet can be performed with ONE HAND;
• easily fits in the breast pocket of a coat;
• practically does not wear out with proper use;
• resistant to disinfection with approved disinfectants.

В состав жгута входят:
1) лента эластичная, на одном конце которой находится наконечник, а на другом защелка;
2) корпус с механизмом затормаживания-растормаживания, управляемым кнопкой, расположенной с его внешней стороны.
Кнопка выполняет две функции:
а) при нажатии на ее задний край, обращенный к наконечнику, она растормаживает механизм стопорения и, тем самым, освобождает ленту эластичную от захвата;
б) при нажатии на ее передний край, обращенный к защепке, освобождает защелку, тем самым дает возможность жгуту расстегнуться.
Преимущества:
• в отличие от резиновых жгутов при сжимании не вызывает боли и ущемления кожи;
• высокий комфорт и простота применения для медицинских сестер: петлю легко сжать одной рукой;
• степень сжатия петли легко регулируется: усиливается подтягиванием за наконечник жгута, ослабляется и отстегивается слабыми нажатиями на клавишу;
• ОДНОЙ РУКОЙ можно выполнять все действия со жгутом;
• легко умещается в нагрудном кармане халата;
• практически не изнашивается при правильной эксплуатации;
• устойчив к дезинфекции разрешенными дезсредствами.
