Methyluracil 10% ointment 25 g

Slow-healing wounds, burns, photodermatitis.
Prevention of skin reactions during radiation therapy for tumors with low radiosensitivity, reduction of symptoms of radiation dermatitis and late adhesions of the vaginal walls (obstructions) - in the case of radiation therapy for genital tumors.

For external use. Locally.
Adults and children over 3 years old should apply the ointment daily to the affected areas in a thin layer, in an amount of 5-10 g, for 15-30 days. Before application, the wound should be treated with an antiseptic and any necrotic tissue should be removed.
In the case of radiation therapy for genital neoplasms, the ointment is used in loose tampons for the prevention and treatment of radioepithelitis. The treatment course is individualized.
The duration of treatment is determined by the physician, taking into account the characteristics of the disease, the tolerability of the medication, and the effect achieved.

In 100 g of the ointment, there are:
Active ingredient: dioksometiltetrahidropirimidin (methyluracil) - 10 g.
Excipients: petroleum jelly, anhydrous lanolin, purified water.

Ointment of yellow, yellow-brown, or greenish-brown color with a characteristic odor.

Increased sensitivity to methyluracil or other components of the product; excessive granulation in the wound.
With caution:
Pregnancy, breastfeeding period, children under 3 years of age.

The lanolin included in the ointment may cause local reactions (e.g., contact dermatitis).

Allergic reactions; short-term burning at the site of application.

Cases of overdose with local and external use have not been reported.

The drug is compatible with external applications of antibacterial and antiseptic agents.

Has anabolic activity. By normalizing nucleic acid metabolism, it accelerates cellular regeneration processes in wounds, promotes tissue growth and granulation maturation, and facilitates epithelialization. When applied externally, it has photoprotective properties.
