Indications
The infusion of kidney tea leaves is used in combination therapy for edema resulting from impaired kidney function, as well as due to circulatory insufficiency.

Настой листьев почечного чая применяют в комплексной терапии при отеках, возникающих вследствие нарушения функции почек, а также вследствие недостаточности кровообращения.
How to use
Powder: Place 2 filter bags in a glass or enamel container, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of boiling water, cover with a lid, and steep for 15 minutes. Squeeze the contents of the filter bags. Adjust the volume of the resulting infusion to 200 ml with boiled water.
The infusion is used warm, 1/2 cup twice a day, 20-30 minutes before meals. The treatment course lasts 2-3 weeks. A repeat treatment course is possible in consultation with a doctor.
Before use, it is recommended to shake the infusion.

Порошок: 2 фильтр-пакета помещают в стеклянную или эмалированную посуду, заливают 200 мл (1 стакан) кипятка, накрывают крышкой и настаивают в течение 15 минут. Содержимое фильтр-пакетов отжимают. Объем полученного настоя доводят кипяченой водой до 200 мл.
Настой применяют в теплом виде по 1/2 стакана 2 раза в день за 20-30 минут до еды. Курс лечения 2-3 недели. Проведение повторного курса лечения возможно по согласованию с врачом.
Перед употреблением настой рекомендуется взбалтывать.

Characteristics
The leaves of Orthosiphon stamineus (kidney tea) contain the glycoside orthosiphonin, triterpene saponins, tannins, potassium salts, essential oil, organic acids, and other biologically active substances.
Powder. A mixture of pieces of leaves and stems of various shapes. Color green, grayish-green with purple-brown, greenish-brown, and brown speckles.
The smell is weak. The taste of the aqueous extract is slightly bitter, slightly astringent.

Листья ортосифона тычиночного (почечного чая) содержат гликозид ортосифонин, тритерпеновые сапонины, дубильные вещества, соли калия, эфирное масло, органические кислоты и другие биологически активные вещества.
Порошок. Смесь кусочков листьев и стеблей различной формы. Цвет зеленый, серовато-зеленый с фиолетово-коричневыми, зеленовато-коричневыми и коричневыми вкраплениями.
Запах слабый. Вкус водного извлечения слабо-горьковатый, слегка вяжущий.

Pharmacology
The infusion of kidney tea leaves has a moderate diuretic and antispasmodic effect. It also possesses choleretic properties and increases the secretory activity of the gastric mucosa.
The diuretic effect is accompanied by the excretion of chlorides, urea, and uric acid in the urine.
