Sea buckthorn ranks among the top sources of vitamins. The fruits have nutritional value and are consumed fresh and in preserved forms. Sea buckthorn is used to make sea buckthorn juice, puree, jam, marmalade, preserves, and fillings for candies. Sea buckthorn fruits contain sugars, organic acids, quercetin, vitamins B1, B2, B6, C, E. Sea buckthorn oil is rich in carotenoids.
The single therapeutic dose of sea buckthorn oil, obtained through oil extraction of dried pressed sea buckthorn fruits, standardized for total carotenoid content (not less than 180 mg%), is 5 ml.
Considering that according to the specifications, the total carotenoid content in the final product is at least 25 mg%, the recommended daily dose should not exceed half of the single therapeutic dose (calculated based on carotenoid content).

Облепиха - занимает одно из первых мест среди витаминоносов. Плоды имеют пищевое значение, их употребляют в пищу в свежем и консервированном виде. Из облепихи приготавливают облепиховый сок, пюре, повидло, мармелад, варенье, начинки для конфет. Плоды облепихи содержат сахара, органические кислоты, кверцетин, витамины В1, В2, В6, С, Е. Масло облепихи богато каротиноидами.
Разовая терапевтическая доза облепихового масла, полученного масляной экстракцией сухих отжатых плодов облепихи, стандартизованного по содержанию суммы каротиноидов (не менее 180 мг%), составляет 5 мл.
Учитывая, что согласно ТИ и ТУ, содержание суммы каротиноидов в конечном продукте составляет не менее 25мг%, рекомендованная суточная доза составляет не более половины разовой терапевтической (в пересчете на содержание каротиноидов).
