• Acute and chronic intoxications of various origins in adults and children.

• Acute intestinal infections of any genesis, including foodborne toxic infections, as well as non-infectious diarrhea syndrome, dysbiosis (as part of combination therapy).

• Purulent-septic diseases accompanied by pronounced intoxication.

• Acute poisoning with potent and toxic substances, including pharmaceuticals and alcohol, alkaloids, heavy metal salts, etc.

• Food and drug allergies.

• Hyperbilirubinemia (viral hepatitis and other types of jaundice) and hyperazotemia (chronic renal failure).

For oral use. Before use, shake the bottle or tube, and knead the contents of the sachet with your fingers.
The average daily dose for adults is 1.5-3 ml per 1 kg of body weight (85-170 ml).
The medication is taken in 3-4 doses throughout the day, one hour before meals or taking other medications.
The maximum daily dose for adults is 4.5 ml per 1 kg of body weight (285 ml).
The dose for children is calculated based on body weight (see table).

In cases of food allergies, the medication is taken just before meals, and the daily dose of Sorbodez® is divided into three doses throughout the day.
The duration of treatment depends on the diagnosis and severity of the disease; the treatment course for acute intoxications is 3-5 days; for allergic diseases and chronic intoxications, the duration of treatment is up to 10-14 days. Repeat courses after 2-3 weeks, as recommended by a physician.
Features of Sorbodez® use in various diseases
1. Food toxicoinfection and acute poisoning.
It is recommended to start therapy with gastric lavage using a diluted Sorbodez® suspension (1:6 – 1:13). In cases of severe poisoning, gastric lavage is performed through a tube every 4-6 hours on the first day, alongside oral administration of the medication. The single dose for adults may be 0.1-0.15 g/kg of the patient's body weight, taken 2-3 times a day.
2. Acute intestinal infections.
It is recommended to start treatment with Sorbodez® in the first hours or days of the disease in conjunction with other treatment methods. On the first day, the daily dose is given over 5 hours with intervals of 1 hour between doses. On the second day, the daily dose is given in 4 doses throughout the day. The duration of treatment is 3-5 days.
3. Treatment of viral hepatitis.
In the complex therapy of viral hepatitis, Sorbodez® is used as a detoxifying agent in standard doses during the first 7-10 days of the illness.
4. Allergic diseases.
In cases of acute allergic reactions of drug or food origin, preliminary gastric and intestinal lavage with a diluted Sorbodez® suspension (1:6 – 1:13) is recommended. Then the medication is given in standard doses until clinical effect is achieved. For chronic food allergies, courses of Sorbodez® for 7-10-15 days are recommended, taken just before meals. Similar courses are indicated for acute recurrent urticaria and Quincke's edema, eosinophilia, and during exacerbations of pollinosis and other atopic conditions.
5. Chronic renal failure.
Courses of treatment with Sorbodez® are used at a daily dose of 0.15-0.2 g/kg of body weight for 25-30 days with a break of 2-3 weeks.

Active ingredient: colloidal silicon dioxide – 7.000 g.
Excipients: potassium sorbate – 0.150 g, sodium benzoate – 0.0513 g, flavoring agent "Mint" – 0.004 g, purified water – up to 100 ml.

White suspension. Sedimentation of suspension particles may occur during storage.

• Peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum in the acute phase.

• Gastrointestinal bleeding.

• Intestinal atony.

• Individual intolerance to the drug.

Rarely – allergic reactions, dyspepsia, constipation.
With prolonged use, more than 14 days, of Sorbodez®, absorption of vitamins and calcium may be impaired, therefore, prophylactic intake of multivitamin preparations and calcium is recommended.

No cases of overdose have been identified with the use of Sorbodez® at the recommended therapeutic doses.

There may be a reduction in the therapeutic effect of concurrently taken oral medications.

Sorbodez® is an inorganic, non-selective, multifunctional enterosorbent based on highly dispersed silica with a particle size of up to 0.1 mm, with a chemical formula of SiO2. The specific surface area of the preparation is approximately 300 m2/g. The adsorption capacity of the preparation for internal use is at least 1540 mg/100 ml.
Pharmacodynamics
Sorbodez® has pronounced sorption and detoxification properties. In the lumen of the gastrointestinal tract, the preparation binds and eliminates endogenous and exogenous toxic substances of various natures, including pathogenic bacteria and bacterial toxins, antigens, food allergens, pharmaceuticals and poisons, heavy metal salts, radionuclides, and alcohol. Sorbodez® also adsorbs some metabolic products of the body, including excess bilirubin, urea, cholesterol, and lipid complexes, as well as metabolites responsible for the development of endogenous toxicosis.

Sorbodez® is not broken down or absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and is excreted unchanged.
