Indications

In adults
Spasm of the gastrointestinal tract (including that caused by organic disease), intestinal colic, biliary colic, irritable bowel syndrome.
In children over 12 years old
Functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract accompanied by abdominal pain.

How to use

For adults and children over 12 years old, take 1 capsule (200 mg) twice a day, 20 minutes before meals (in the morning and evening). Swallow whole with water.

One capsule contains: active ingredient: mebeverine hydrochloride 200 mg;
excipients: hypromellose (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) 38 mg, colloidal silicon dioxide 5 mg, magnesium stearate 2 mg, povidone K-90 5 mg;
hard gelatin capsule No. 1: body - quinoline yellow dye 0.308 mg, sunset yellow dye 0.003 mg,
titanium dioxide 1.387 mg, gelatin 44.522 mg; cap - quinoline yellow dye 0.199 mg, sunset yellow dye 0.002 mg, titanium dioxide 0.893 mg, gelatin 28.686 mg.

Hard gelatin capsules No. 1, yellow in color. The contents of the capsules are a mixture of granules and powder that is white or almost white in color. The presence of clumps is permissible.

Pharmacology

Myotropic antispasmodic, it exerts a direct effect on the smooth muscle of the gastrointestinal tract (mainly the large intestine). It relieves spasms without affecting normal intestinal peristalsis. It does not possess anticholinergic activity.

When taken orally, it undergoes presystemic hydrolysis and is not detected in plasma. It is metabolized in the liver to veratric acid and mebeverine alcohol. It is primarily excreted by the kidneys as metabolites, with small amounts excreted in bile. Mebeverine capsules have a prolonged release property. Even after multiple doses, no significant accumulation is observed.

Спазмолитик миотропного действия, оказывает прямое действие на гладкую мускулатуру желудочно-кишечного тракта (главным образом толстого кишечника). Устраняет спазм без влияния на нормальную перистальтику кишечника. Не обладает антихолинергическим действием.

При приеме внутрь подвергается пресистемному гидролизу и не обнаруживается в плазме. Метаболизируется в печени до вератровой кислоты и мебеверинового спирта. Выводится главным образом почками в виде метаболитов, в небольших количествах - желчью. Капсулы мебеверина имеют свойство продолжительного высвобождения. Даже после многократного приема не наблюдается значительной кумуляции.

Properties
