Stizamet 3% ointment for local and external use 10 g

Inflammatory skin diseases (eczema, neurodermatitis, dermatitis), poorly healing wounds, burns (thermal, chemical, radiation in the reparative stage), erosions and ulcers of the skin (including after radiation therapy), trophic ulcers, pressure sores, anal fissures, and fissures of the mammary glands. It may be used for preventive purposes to prevent skin reactions during radiation therapy of tumors with low radiosensitivity, to reduce radioepithelitis and late adhesions of the walls (occlusions) of the vagina - in the case of radiation therapy for genital tumors. It is also used as a photoprotective agent in photodermatoses.

For external use, locally. The ointment is applied in a thin layer to the affected areas of the skin twice a day; in cases of erosions, ulcers, and wounds - after preliminary treatment with antiseptics. In cases of radioepithelitis and late radiation damage to the vagina, the ointment is used on loose tampons as applications. The single dose, based on the area of the skin being treated, ranges from 1 to 10 g of ointment. The treatment course lasts until complete healing. For chronic conditions, the duration of the course is up to 2 months. The total course dose may be 60-80 g or more (up to 300 g).

Active ingredient: Dioxomethyltetrahydropyrimidine (methyluracil) - 3.0 g.
Excipients: Liquid paraffin (vaseline oil) - 8.0 g; Emulsifying wax - 8.0 g; Glycerol (glycerin) - 10.0 g; Ethanol (ethyl alcohol) 95% - 10.0 g; Purified water up to 100.0 g.

Homogeneous ointment of white or almost white color.

Hypersensitivity, acute and chronic forms of leukemia, and other malignant diseases of the hematopoietic system; excessive granulation in the wound.
With caution
Use with caution in skin diseases accompanied by excessive tissue growth: vegetative pemphigus, vegetative pyoderma, verrucous form of lichen planus, verrucous epidermodysplasia, etc.; excessive granulations in wounds and ulcers; in acute inflammatory skin diseases and during exacerbations of chronic conditions. The drug should also be used with caution on large areas of skin in cases of cholesterol metabolism disorders and severe liver diseases. In cases of radioepithelitis and late radiation damage to the vagina, the ointment is used on loose tampons as applications.
