NOW Taurine (TAURINE 500mg)
Taurine is a conditionally essential amino acid that is not used for protein synthesis but is primarily found in a free state in most tissues, especially in the nervous system.
By localizing in tissues, taurine stabilizes cell membranes and facilitates the transport of potassium, sodium, calcium, and magnesium ions in and out of cells. Taurine helps generate and regulate nerve impulses and maintains normal fluid balance; it is also essential for the normal functioning of the visual pathways, brain, and nervous system, where it acts alongside glycine and GABA as a neurotransmitter.
