How to use

Tilorone is taken orally, after meals.
For the treatment of influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) - 125 mg per day for the first 2 days of treatment, then 125 mg every 48 hours. Total course - 750 mg. For the prevention of influenza and other ARVI - 125 mg once a week for 6 weeks. Total course - 750 mg.
For the treatment of herpes infection - 125 mg for the first two days, then 125 mg every 48 hours. Total course dose 1.25 g - 2.5 g. In the case of influenza and other ARVI, if symptoms persist for more than 4 days, consult a doctor.

Для лечения гриппа и других ОРВИ - по 125 мг в сутки первые 2 дня лечения, затем по 125 мг через 48 часов. На курс - 750 мг. Для профилактики гриппа и других ОРВИ - по 125 мг 1 раз в неделю в течение 6 недель. На курс - 750 мг

Excipients: magnesium hydroxide carbonate (basic magnesium carbonate) - 49.000 mg; talc - 4.000 mg; povidone (low molecular weight medical polyvinylpyrrolidone) - 20.000 mg; calcium stearate - 2.000 mg.
Coating composition: sucrose (sugar) - 108.634 mg; magnesium hydroxide carbonate (basic magnesium carbonate) - 72.974 mg; povidone (low molecular weight medical polyvinylpyrrolidone) - 4.441 mg; talc - 0.741 mg; colloidal silicon dioxide (aerosil) - 1.266 mg; titanium dioxide (titanium dioxide pigment) - 1.266 mg; tropaeolin O - 0.028 mg; liquid paraffin (vaseline oil) - 0.004 mg; medical gelatin - 0.637 mg; beeswax - 0.009 mg.

Yellow-coated tablets, round, biconvex. The cross-section of the tablet is orange.

Pharmacology

Low molecular weight synthetic interferon inducer that stimulates the production of all types of interferons (alpha, beta, gamma, and lambda) in the body. The main producers of interferon in response to the administration of tilorone are intestinal epithelial cells, hepatocytes, T-lymphocytes, neutrophils, and granulocytes. After oral administration, the peak production of interferon is observed in the sequence of intestine - liver - blood within 4-24 hours.
Tilorone has immunomodulatory and antiviral effects.
It induces the synthesis of interferon in human leukocytes. It stimulates bone marrow stem cells, enhances antibody formation depending on the dose, reduces the degree of immunosuppression, and restores the ratio of T-suppressors to T-helpers. It is effective against various viral infections, including influenza viruses, other acute respiratory viral infections, hepatitis viruses, and herpes simplex viruses. The mechanism of antiviral action is associated with the inhibition of translation of virus-specific proteins in infected cells, resulting in the suppression of virus reproduction.

Absorption. After oral administration, Tilaxin® is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. The bioavailability is 60%.
Distribution. Plasma protein binding is approximately 80%.
Metabolism and excretion. The drug is not subject to biotransformation and does not accumulate in the body. It is excreted almost unchanged through the intestines (70%) and urine (9%). The half-life (T½) is 48 hours.

Низкомолекулярный синтетический индуктор интерферона, стимулирующий образование в организме всех типов интерферонов (альфа, бета, гамма и лямбда). Основными продуцентами интерферона в ответ на введение тилорона являются клетки эпителия кишечника, гепатоциты, Т- лимфоциты, нейтрофилы и гранулоциты. После приема внутрь максимум продукции интерферона определяется в последовательности кишечник - печень - кровь через 4-24 часа.
Тилорон обладает иммуномодулирующим и противовирусным эффектом.
В лейкоцитах человека индуцирует синтез интерферона. Стимулирует стволовые клетки костного мозга, в зависимости от дозы усиливает антителообразование, уменьшает степень иммунодепрессии, восстанавливает соотношение Т-супрессоров и Т-хелперов. Эффективен против различных вирусных инфекций, в том числе против вирусов гриппа, других острых респираторных вирусных инфекций, вирусов гепатита и вирусов простого герпеса. Механизм антивирусного действия связан с ингибированием трансляции вирус-специфических белков в инфицированных клетках, в результате чего подавляется репродукция вирусов

Всасывание. После приема внутрь Тилаксин® быстро всасывается из желудочно-кишечного тракта. Биодоступность составляет 60 %.
Распределение. Связывание с белками плазмы крови - около 80 %.
Метаболизм и выведение. Препарат не подвергается биотрансформации и не накапливается в организме. Выводится практически в неизмененном виде через кишечник (70 %) и мочой (9 %). Период полувыведения (Т½) составляет 48 часов
