Triacort 0.1% ointment for external use 10 g

Simple and allergic dermatitis; eczema; atopic dermatitis; diffuse neurodermatitis; psoriasis; annular granuloma; lichen planus; simple chronic lichen (localized neurodermatitis); toxicodermia; keloid scars; alopecia areata; total alopecia; insect bites.

The ointment is applied evenly in a thin layer to the affected areas of the skin 1-3 times a day. It can be used with an occlusive dressing for lichenified manifestations.
The duration of treatment depends on the nature of the disease and the effectiveness of therapy, usually lasting 5-10 days. In cases of persistent disease, the treatment course may be extended up to 25 days. Use for more than 4 weeks is not recommended.

100 g of the ointment contains:
active ingredient: triamcinolone acetonide, calculated as 100% substance - 0.1 g;
excipients: glycerol, propylene glycol, dimethyl sulfoxide, petroleum jelly, stearic acid, emulsifying wax, purified water.

Ointment from white to yellowish-white in color.

In case of side effects, the use of the medication should be discontinued.
Like other topical glucocorticoids, the medication should not be applied to the skin around the eyes or on wound surfaces.
When using occlusive dressings and applying to large body surfaces, systemic effects of the medication may occur - in such cases, increased caution is required, especially when treating children.

If the course of the disease is complicated by the development of a secondary bacterial or fungal infection, specific antibacterial or antifungal therapy should be added to the treatment with the medication.
The medication should be used with particular caution on the skin of the face.

Use in children should be approached with caution.
It should be noted that in small children, skin folds and diapers may have an effect similar to that of an occlusive dressing, increasing the systemic absorption of the medication. Additionally, children may experience a greater degree of systemic absorption due to the ratio of skin surface area to body weight, as well as due to the immaturity of the skin.

The duration of treatment in children should not exceed 5 days.
Longer use of the medication should be conducted under medical supervision.
The use of occlusive dressings in children is not recommended.

Itching, skin irritation, contact dermatitis, steroid acne, purpura.
With prolonged use - development of secondary infectious lesions and trophic skin changes.

Glucocorticoid drugs for oral use enhance the effect.

Fluorinated glucocorticoid preparation, it exhibits pronounced anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, and anti-exudative effects.
By interacting with a specific protein receptor in target tissues, it regulates the expression of corticosteroid-dependent genes and thus influences protein synthesis. It reduces the formation, release, and activity of inflammatory mediators (histamine, kinin, prostaglandins, lysosomal enzymes).
It suppresses the migration of cells to the site of inflammation; decreases vasodilation and increased vascular permeability in the focus of inflammation. It stabilizes lysosomal enzymes in leukocyte membranes; inhibits antibody synthesis and disrupts antigen recognition. It slows the release of interleukin 1, interleukin 2, and gamma-interferon from lymphocytes and macrophages. It induces the formation of lipocortin, inhibits the release of inflammatory mediators by eosinophils, and stabilizes mast cell membranes. All these effects contribute to the suppression of the inflammatory response in tissues in response to mechanical, chemical, or immune damage.
