Indications

In the complex therapy of skin diseases accompanied by excessive keratinization: ichthyosis and ichthyosiform dermatoses, keratodermas, psoriasis, chronic eczema, Devergie's disease, follicular keratosis, hyperkeratotic forms of fungal diseases; calluses, dry skin.
Used for softening the skin and removing keratinous layers in the case of warts (prior to removal) and for softening the nail plates to facilitate trimming and treatment in cases of ingrown nails, onychomycosis, onychogryphosis, onychodystrophy, hard nails.

В комплексной терапии заболеваний кожи, сопровождающихся избыточным ороговением: ихтиоз и ихтиозиформные дерматозы, кератодермии, псориаз, хроническая экзема, болезнь Девержи, фолликулярный кератоз, гиперкератотические формы грибковых заболеваний; омозолелости, сухость кожи.
Используется для размягчения кожи и удаления роговых наслоений при бородавках (перед удалением) и для размягчения ногтевых пластинок в целях облегчения их подрезания и обработки при вросшем ногте, онихомикозах, онихогрифозе, ониходистрофии, твердых ногтях.

How to use

For external use. In cases of skin diseases accompanied by excessive keratinization (ichthyosis, ichthyosis-like dermatoses, keratodermas, psoriasis, chronic eczema, Devergie's disease, follicular keratosis, callosities, dry skin), apply the ointment in a thin layer to areas of keratin accumulation twice a day. In cases of severe peeling, occlusive dressings may be used. Before applying the ointment, treat superficial wounds, erosions, cracks, scabs, and abrasions with antiseptics. Treatment is discontinued after the keratin accumulations are eliminated.
In hyperkeratotic forms of fungal diseases, apply the ointment 20–30 minutes before antifungal topical agents.
For warts, apply the ointment for 2–8 hours under a plaster, then cut off the softened part of the wart, after which removal may be possible.
To facilitate trimming and treatment of nails in cases of ingrown nails, onychomycosis, onychogryphosis, onychodystrophy, and thickened nails, apply the ointment to the nails for 20–30 minutes, then trim them. In cases of significant nail thickening, apply the ointment twice a day, covering with plaster, and treat after softening.
The duration of treatment for skin diseases depends on the localization and severity of the condition and may last several weeks. To facilitate trimming and treatment of nails, the ointment may be used 2–3 times a month, with no limitation on the duration of use in such cases.

Наружно. При заболеваниях кожи, сопровождающихся избыточным ороговением (ихтиозе, ихтиозиформных дерматозах, кератодермиях, псориазе, хронической экземе, болезни Девержи, фолликулярном кератозе, омозолелостях, сухости кожи), мазь наносят на участки скопления роговых наслоений тонким слоем 2 раза в день. При сильном шелушении возможно использование окклюзионной повязки. Перед нанесением мази поверхностные раны, эрозии, трещины, корочки, ссадины обрабатывают антисептиками. Лечение прекращают после устранения роговых наслоений.
При гиперкератотических формах грибковых заболеваний мазь наносят за 20–30 минут до противогрибковых наружных средств.
При бородавках мазь наносят на 2–8 часов под лейкопластырь, затем размягченную часть бородавки срезают, после чего возможно ее удаление.
Для облегчения подрезания и обработки ногтей при вросшем ногте, онихомикозах, онихогрифозе, ониходистрофии, твердых ногтях мазь наносят на ногти на 20–30 минут, затем их подрезают. При значительном утолщении ногтей мазь наносят 2 раза в день, заклеивая лейкопластырем, обрабатывают после размягчения.
Длительность лечения при кожных заболеваниях зависит от локализации и тяжести процесса и может составлять несколько недель. Для облегчения подрезания и обработки ногтей мазь может использоваться 2–3 раза в месяц, длительность использования ее в таких случаях не ограничена.

Composition

Active ingredient: urea (calculated as 100%) – 0.300 g.
Excipients: emulsifying wax – 0.060 g; liquid paraffin (vaseline oil) – 0.060 g; glycerol (glycerin) (calculated as 100%) – 0.100 g; glycine (aminoacetic acid) – 0.002 g; ethanol (ethyl alcohol) 95% – 0.100 g; purified water up to 1.0 g.

Homogeneous white ointment, with a possible faint smell of ammonia.

Однородная мазь белого цвета, возможен слабый запах аммиака.

Contraindications & warnings

Increased sensitivity to urea and other components of the preparation. Should not be applied to large areas in cases of renal, hepatic, and cardiovascular insufficiency.

Avoid contact of the medication with mucous membranes.

Повышенная чувствительность к мочевине и другим компонентам препарата. Не следует наносить на обширные поверхности при почечной, печеночной и сердечно-сосудистой недостаточности.

Следует избегать попадания препарата на слизистые оболочки.

Side effects, overdose & interactions

When used during the acute phase of a skin condition, in some cases, an increase in itching and redness of the skin at the application sites may occur, necessitating temporary discontinuation until the severity of the condition decreases. Allergic reactions may occur.

No cases of overdose have been reported to date.

The ability of urea to soften the stratum corneum creates conditions for increased absorption of other topical agents, enhancing their effect. The ointment can be alternated (morning–evening) with any other topical agents, except for keratolytic agents (salicylic ointment).

При использовании в остром периоде кожного заболевания в отдельных случаях возможно усиление зуда и покраснения кожи в местах нанесения препарата, что требует его временной отмены до снижения остроты процесса. Возможны аллергические реакции.

Случаи передозировки до настоящего времени не зарегистрированы.

Способность мочевины разрыхлять роговой слой кожи создает условия для повышения резорбции других наружных средств, что усиливает их действие. Мазь можно чередовать (утро–вечер) с любыми другими наружными средствами, кроме кератолитических (мазь салициловая).
