How to use

Validol is administered sublingually. The tablet should be kept in the mouth under the tongue until completely dissolved. Take 1 tablet 2-3 times a day. The daily frequency and duration of Validol intake are determined based on the effectiveness of treatment. If the effect is insufficiently pronounced or if no effect is observed in some patients within 5 minutes after taking the medication, it is necessary to consult the attending physician for the appointment of alternative therapy.

Валидол назначают под язык. Таблетку следует держать во рту под языком до полного рассасывания. Принимают по 1 таблетке 2-3 раза в день. Суточная кратность и продолжительность приема валидола определяется в зависимости от эффективности лечения. При недостаточно выраженном эффекте или, когда у отдельных больных в ближайшие 5 минут после приема препарата эффект не наблюдается, необходимо обратиться к лечащему врачу для назначения другой терапии.

excipients:
sucrose (sugar) - 1.157 g
calcium stearate - 0.006 g

Round flat-cylindrical tablets with a bevel and score, white or white with a yellowish tint, with a characteristic menthol smell. Grayish specks are permissible.

вспомогательные вещества:
сахароза (сахар) - 1,157 г
кальция стеарат - 0,006 г

круглые плоскоцилиндрические таблетки с фаской и риской, белого или белого с желтоватым оттенком цвета с характерным запахом ментола. Допускаются сероватые вкрапления.

Contraindications & warnings

Increased sensitivity to the components of the drug. Sucrose/isomaltose deficiency, fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption (as the drug contains sucrose).
With caution
Should be prescribed with caution to patients with diabetes mellitus (the drug contains sucrose). 1 tablet contains bread units - 0.096-0.116 XE (0.106 XE).

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, Validol is prescribed only if the expected therapeutic effect for the mother outweighs the possible negative impact of the drug on the fetus and the breastfed child.

Information on the possible effects on the ability to drive vehicles or operate machinery
Due to the possibility of side effects occurring with prolonged use of the medication, the ability to drive vehicles or operate machinery may be impaired.

Повышенная чувствительность к компонентам препарата. Дефицит сахарозы/изомальтозы, непереносимость фруктозы, глюкозо-галактозная мальабсорбция (т.к. препарат содержит сахарозу).
С осторожностью
Следует назначать с осторожностью больным сахарным диабетом (препарат содержит сахарозу). 1 таблетка содержит хлебных единиц - 0,096-0,116 ХЕ (0,106 ХЕ).

Применение при беременности и в период грудного вскармливания
В период беременности и кормления грудью Валидол назначают лишь в том случае, если ожидаемый терапевтический эффект для матери превышает возможное отрицательное влияние препарата на плод и грудного ребенка.

Сведения о возможном влиянии на способность управлять транспортными средствами, механизмами
В связи с возможностью проявления побочного действия при длительном применении препарата способность управлять транспортным средством или механизмами может снижаться.

Side effects, overdose & interactions

Prolonged use of Validol may result in mild nausea, tearing, dizziness. These symptoms usually resolve on their own.

Headache, nausea, excited state, decreased blood pressure, central nervous system depression. In case of overdose, it is necessary to discontinue the medication and provide symptomatic therapy.

When used in combination with other medications that depress the central nervous system, it enhances the effects of the latter. Concurrent use of the drug with nitrates reduces the headache that occurs with their use.

При длительном приеме валидола могут наблюдаться легкая тошнота, слезотечение, головокружение. Эти явления обычно проходят самостоятельно.

Головная боль, тошнота, возбужденное состояние, снижение артериального давления, угнетение центральной нервной системы. В случае передозировки необходимо отменить препарат и назначить симптоматическую терапию.

При совместном применении с другими лекарственными средствами, угнетающими центральную нервную систему, усиливает действие последних. Одновременное применение препарата с нитратами уменьшает головную боль, которая возникает при их применении.

Pharmacology

Exerts a sedative effect, possesses moderate reflex vasodilatory action due to the irritation of sensory nerve endings. Stimulates the production and release of enkephalins, endorphins, and a number of other peptides, kinins (due to the irritation of mucosal receptors), which play an active role in regulating vascular permeability and the formation of pain sensations.

When taken sublingually, the therapeutic effect occurs, on average, within 5 minutes, with up to 70% of the drug being released within 3 minutes.

Оказывает седативное действие, обладает умеренным рефлекторным сосудорасширяющим действием, обусловленным раздражением чувствительных нервных окончаний. Стимулирует выработку и высвобождение энкефалинов, эндорфинов и ряда других пептидов, кининов (за счет раздражения рецепторов слизистой оболочки), которые принимают активное участие в регуляции проницаемости сосудов, формирования болевых ощущений.

При приеме под язык терапевтический эффект наступает, в среднем, через 5 минут, при этом до 70 % препарата высвобождается в течение 3 минут.
