Pharmacology

D-Mannose Complex - Biologically active food supplement - a source of arbutin and tannins.

Daily dose (3 capsules) contains:
Arbutin 21 - 24.9 mg 263* - 311*% of the adequate daily intake1
Tannins, calculated as tannin, not less than 54 mg 18% of the adequate daily intake1
Mannose 1.5 g 7 (monosaccharides)% of the adequate daily intake1

D-mannose is a simple carbohydrate, well soluble in water and having a sweet taste. In its free form, this biocomponent is part of the normal human diet, present in many fruits, berries, and some mushrooms. Due to the action of the nutrient, the adhesion of bacteria pathogenic to the urinary system to the epithelium (tissue lining) of the urinary tract is reduced. This effect contributes to the normalization of their microflora.

Additionally, due to its prebiotic properties, D-mannose promotes the growth of beneficial microorganisms that exhibit their activity in the intestine.

Bearberry (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi L.), or bear's ear, is an evergreen shrub. The extract of this plant contains arbutin, flavonoids, organic acids, and other active (including tannin) substances that demonstrate antibacterial and antioxidant effects in experiments. Due to the presence of phenolic compounds, bearberry may act as an antiseptic. The diuretic effect is also due to the hydrolysis product of arbutin - hydroquinone, which can stimulate renal tissue and thereby enhance urine output.

D-манноза представляет собой простой углевод, хорошо растворимый в воде и имеющий сладкий вкус.
В свободном виде этот биокомпонент входит в состав обычного рациона человека, присутствуя во многих фруктах, ягодах и некоторых грибах.
Благодаря действию нутриента уменьшается адгезия (прилипание) бактерий, патогенных для мочевой системы, к эпителию (тканевой выстилке) мочевыводящих путей.
Подобный эффект способствует нормализации их микрофлоры.

Кроме того, за счет своих пребиотических свойств D-манноза благоприятствует росту полезных микроорганизмов, проявляющих свою активность в кишечнике.

Толокнянка обыкновенная (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi L.), или медвежье ушко, - вечнозеленый кустарник. Экстракт этого растения содержит арбутин, флавоноиды, органические кислоты и другие активные (в том числе дубильные) вещества, которые в эксперименте проявляют антибактериальный и антиоксидантный эффект. За счет наличия фенольных соединений толокнянка может действовать как антисептик.
