How to use

Adults: one spray in each nostril 4-6 times a day.
Children: one spray in each nostril 3 times a day.
Duration of treatment - no more than 7 days.

Composition

Composition per 1 ml:
Active ingredient: framycetin sulfate - 12.5 mg, which corresponds to 8000 IU.
Excipients: methylparaben (methylparaben, methylhydroxybenzoate, nipagin); sodium chloride; sodium citrate pentahydrate (sodium citrate trihydrate 5.5-water); citric acid monohydrate; water for injections.

Clear colorless or slightly yellowish solution.

Действующее вещество: фрамицетина сульфат - 12,5 мг, что соответствует 8000 МЕ.
Вспомогательные вещества: метилпарагидроксибензоат (метилпарабен, метилгидроксибензоат, нипагин); натрия хлорид; натрия цитрата пентасесквигидрат (натрия цитрат трехзамещенный 5,5-водный); лимонной кислоты моногидрат; вода для инъекций.

Прозрачный бесцветный или слегка желтоватый раствор.

Contraindications & warnings

Increased sensitivity to framycetin and other antibiotics from the aminoglycoside group. The drug should not be used for rinsing the paranasal sinuses. Pregnancy, breastfeeding period.

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding
The use of the drug is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

The treatment may lead to the emergence of resistant strains of microorganisms.
The product should not be used for rinsing the paranasal sinuses.
Aminoglycoside antibiotics (including framycetin sulfate) may cause reversible, partial, or complete deafness and have nephrotoxic effects when used systemically or applied locally to open wounds or damaged skin. These effects are dose-dependent and are exacerbated in cases of liver or kidney dysfunction. While these phenomena have not been observed with the use of this product, the risk of their occurrence should be considered in the case of local application of high doses in children. Therapy should not be continued after the symptoms have disappeared.

Effects on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery
The product does not affect the ability to drive vehicles, operate machinery, or perform other potentially dangerous activities that require increased attention and quick psychomotor reactions.

Повышенная чувствительность к фрамицетину и другим антибиотикам из группы аминогликозидов. Препарат не следует применять для промывания придаточных пазух носа. Беременность, период грудного вскармливания.

Аминогликозидные антибиотики (в том числе фрамицетина сульфат) могут вызывать обратимую, частичную или полную глухоту и оказывать нефротоксическое действие при системном применении и местном нанесении на открытые раны или поврежденную кожу. Эти эффекты являются дозозависимыми и усиливаются при нарушениях функции печени или почек. При применении препарата этих явлений не наблюдалось, однако следует учитывать риск их возникновения в случае местного применения высоких доз препарата у детей. Терапию не следует продолжать после исчезновения симптомов.

Препарат не оказывает влияния на способность управлять транспортными средствами, механизмами и на выполнение других потенциально опасных видов деятельности, требующих повышенной концентрации внимания и быстроты психомоторных реакций

Side effects, overdose & interactions

Allergic reactions may occur.

Due to the low degree of absorption into the systemic circulation, overdose is unlikely.

No drug interactions with other medications have been identified.
Framicetin sulfate should not be used in conjunction with other antibiotics that have ototoxic and nephrotoxic effects (streptomycin, monomycin, kanamycin, gentamicin).

В связи с низкой степенью абсорбции в системный кровоток передозировка маловероятна.

Лекарственное взаимодействие препарата с другими лекарственными средствами не выявлено.
Не следует применять фрамицетина сульфат вместе с другими антибиотиками, оказывающими ототоксическое и нефротоксическое действие (стрептомицин, мономицин, канамицин, гентамицин).

Pharmacology

Antibiotic from the aminoglycoside group with a broad spectrum of action, for local application in otolaryngology. It acts bactericidally, damaging the cytoplasmic membrane, disorganizing the flow of metabolites within the cell, and causing rapid death of microorganisms.
Active against most gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus spp. (including strains resistant to other antibiotics), some strains of Streptococcus spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Klebsiella spp., Haemophilus influenzae, Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Enterobacter spp., Proteus spp., Serratia marcescens, Pasteurella spp., Vibrio spp., Borellia, Leptospira spp., Mycobacterium tuberculosis (including strains resistant to streptomycin), causing infectious processes in the upper respiratory tract.
Resistant to framycetin: Treponema spp., some strains of Streptococcus spp., anaerobic microorganisms.

The drug has low systemic absorption when applied locally.

Антибиотик из группы аминогликозидов широкого спектра действия, для местного применения в отоларингологии. Действует бактерицидно, повреждает цитоплазматическую мембрану, дезорганизует потоки метаболитов внутри клетки и вызывает быструю гибель микроорганизмов.
