Indications

The products can be used for various medical purposes. The indications for use depend on the purpose of medical application and are determined by the physician's prescription for performing various types of injections (subcutaneous, intradermal, intramuscular, intravenous administration), for the introduction of fluids (solutions of medicinal products) / gases (for example, medical oxygen, nitrous oxide) into a medical device (for example, catheter, infusion system), for working with vascular catheters of various types, flushing body cavities, punctures, and aspiration of fluids/gases.

Method of Use and Doses

Before using the syringe, visually check the integrity of the individual sealed packaging. Ensure that you are using a syringe that is within its expiration date. The expiration date is indicated on the individual sealed packaging. It is prohibited to use a syringe from damaged individual sealed packaging or one that has expired.

Preparation of the product for use:

• Prepare everything necessary for the injection (syringe in individual sealed packaging, medicinal product, disinfectant wipes, waste container).

• The volume of the syringe, the length of the needle, and the configuration must be chosen considering the volume of the medicinal product being administered, its viscosity, as well as the type of injection (intradermal, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous).

• Thoroughly wash your hands with soap and wipe them with a disinfectant wipe.

• Put on single-use medical gloves.

• Treat the ampoule with the medicinal product or the vial with a disinfectant.

• Open the ampoule with the medicinal product or remove the protective cap from the vial.

• Open the individual packaging and take out the syringe with the attached needle.

• Carefully remove the protective cap from the needle.

• When drawing the medicinal product from the ampoule, do so slowly, gradually lifting the bottom of the ampoule or upwards as the liquid decreases. When drawing the medicinal product from the vial, turn the vial upside down, holding it with your left hand between the second and third fingers, the fourth finger on the needle head, and the first and fifth fingers holding the syringe cylinder to draw the required amount of the medicinal product.

• When using a syringe with two needles, replace the needle used to draw the medicinal product with the needle included in the individual packaging.

Procedure for using the product:

• Prepare the injection site by treating it with a disinfectant wipe.

• Administer the injection at the prepared site, following injection technique and in accordance with the injection standard depending on the type of injection (subcutaneous, intradermal, intramuscular, intravenous).

• Remove the syringe with the needle. Slightly press the injection site with a disinfectant wipe. The appearance of a drop of blood at the injection site is acceptable.

• Do not replace the protective cap on the needle after the injection to avoid a needle stick injury from the used needle.

• If necessary to aspirate fluids from body cavities, begin aspiration after removing the syringe from the packaging.

• If necessary to irrigate body cavities, begin irrigation after filling the syringe with the irrigation solution.

• A puncture-proof container should be used for the collection and disposal of used needles and syringes.
