Method of Use and Dosage

Before measuring blood pressure
Sit comfortably at a table and rest for a few minutes.
If you are measuring blood pressure after physical exercise, eating, or smoking, take a break of at least thirty minutes before measuring, unless there are specific instructions from your doctor.
Remove clothing from the shoulder of your left arm.
The cuff should not constrict the arm or interfere with the cuff.
Locate the area of intense pulsation of the artery a few inches above the elbow bend at the level of your heart.
Recommendations
Measure blood pressure after eating or 30 minutes after a meal.
The process of digestion can affect the results of blood pressure measurement.
Rest between blood pressure measurements. Blood pressure reflects your health status.
Measure the blood pressure of other family members to detect hypertension in its early stages.

2. Insert the earpieces of the stethoscope into your ears and place the head of the stethoscope over the artery. Inflate the cuff by rhythmically squeezing the bulb.
3. Slowly open the valve while listening for pulse beats. Record the manometer readings at the moments of the first and last pulse beats.
