How to use

For external use.
In case of skin lesions
Naftoderyl is applied once daily to the affected skin surface and the surrounding areas (approximately 1 cm of healthy skin at the edges of the affected zone) after thorough cleansing and drying.
Duration of therapy for dermatomycoses - 2-4 weeks (if necessary, up to 8 weeks); for candidiasis - 4 weeks.
In case of nail lesions
Naftoderyl is applied twice daily to the affected nail. Before the first application, the affected part of the nail should be maximally removed with scissors or a nail file.
Duration of therapy for onychomycosis - up to 6 months.
To prevent recurrence, treatment should be continued for at least 2 weeks after the clinical symptoms have disappeared.
If there is no improvement after treatment, or if symptoms worsen, or new symptoms appear, it is necessary to consult a doctor. Use the product only according to the method of application and in the doses specified in the instructions.

При поражении кожи
Препарат Нафтодерил наносят 1 раз в день на пораженную поверхность кожи и прилегающие к ней участки (приблизительно 1 см здорового участка кожи по краям зоны поражения) после их тщательной очистки и высушивания.
Длительность терапии при дерматомикозах - 2-4 недели (при необходимости до 8 недель), при кандидозах - 4 недели.
При поражении ногтей
Препарат Нафтодерил наносят 2 раза в день на пораженный ноготь. Перед первым применением препарата максимально удаляют пораженную часть ногтя ножницами или пилкой для ногтей.
Длительность терапии при онихомикозах - до 6 месяцев.
Для предотвращения рецидива лечение следует продолжить в течение минимум 2 недель после исчезновения клинических симптомов.
Если после лечения улучшения не наступает или симптомы усугубляются, или появляются новые симптомы, необходимо проконсультироваться с врачом. Применяйте препарат только согласно тому способу применения и в тех дозах, которые указаны в инструкции

Active ingredient: naftifine hydrochloride – 1.00 g.
Excipients: cetostearyl alcohol - 8.00 g; isopropyl myristate – 8.00 g; polysorbate 60 – 6.10 g; cetyl palmitate – 2.00 g; sorbitan stearate – 1.90 g; benzyl alcohol – 1.00 g; sodium hydroxide – 0.12 g; purified water – up to 100.00 g.

Homogeneous cream of white or almost white color with a faint characteristic odor.

Use with caution
Pediatric age (clinical experience is limited).

The drug Naftoderil is not intended for use in ophthalmology. Avoid contact with the eyes.
To achieve a therapeutic effect, a course of treatment is required.
Cetearyl alcohol, included in the formulation, may cause local skin reactions (e.g., contact dermatitis).

Side effects, overdose & interactions

In some cases, local reactions may occur: skin dryness, skin hyperemia (redness), and burning sensation. The side effects are reversible and do not require discontinuation of treatment.
If any of the side effects listed in the instructions worsen, or if any other side effects not mentioned in the instructions occur, it is necessary to inform a doctor immediately.

When the medication is used according to the instructions, overdose is unlikely. In case of accidental ingestion, gastric lavage and symptomatic therapy are indicated.

Interaction with other medicinal products has not been studied.

Pharmacology

Naftifine is an antifungal agent for external use, belonging to the class of allylamines. Its mechanism of action is associated with the inhibition of squalene-2,3-epoxidase, leading to a decrease in the formation of ergosterol, a component of the fungal cell wall. It is active against dermatophytes such as Trichophyton, Epidermophyton, Microsporum, mold fungi (Aspergillus spp.), yeast fungi (Candida spp., Pityrosporum), and other fungi (e.g., Sporothrix schenckii). Naftifine exhibits fungicidal activity against dermatophytes and Aspergillus. For yeast fungi, naftifine shows either fungicidal or fungistatic activity depending on the strain of the microorganism. It has antibacterial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms that can cause secondary bacterial infections. It possesses anti-inflammatory properties that contribute to the rapid resolution of inflammation symptoms, especially itching.

When applied externally, naftifine penetrates well into the skin, creating stable antifungal concentrations in its various layers. After application to the skin, less than 6% of naftifine undergoes systemic absorption. The absorbed amount is partially metabolized and excreted by the kidneys and through the intestines. The half-life of naftifine is 2-3 days.
