How to use

For external use.
In cases of dermatomycosis and skin candidiasis.
Mycoderil®, 1% solution for external use, is applied once daily to the affected skin surface and adjacent areas after thorough cleansing and drying, covering approximately 1 cm of healthy skin at the edges of the affected area. Duration of treatment: for dermatomycosis - 2-4 weeks (if necessary - up to 8 weeks), for candidiasis - 4 weeks.
In cases of nail infections (onychomycosis).
Before the first application, the affected part of the nail should be maximally removed with scissors and a nail file. The product is applied twice daily, with a treatment duration for onychomycosis of up to 6 months. To prevent recurrence of the infection, the product should be continued for at least 2 weeks after the clinical symptoms have disappeared.

При дерматомикозах и кандидозе кожи.
Микодерил®, раствор для наружного применения, 1% наносят 1 раз в день на пораженную поверхность кожи и соседние с ней участки после тщательной очистки и высушивания, захватывая приблизительно 1 см здорового участка кожи по краям зоны поражения. Длительность лечения: при дерматомикозах - 2-4 недели (при необходимости - до 8 недель), при кандидозах - 4 недели.
При поражениях ногтей (онихомикозах).
Перед первым применением препарата максимально удаляют пораженную часть ногтя ножницами и пилкой для ногтей. Препарат применяют 2 раза в день, длительность лечения при онихомикозах - до 6 месяцев. Для предотвращения рецидивов инфекции следует продолжать применять препарат не менее 2 недель после исчезновения клинических симптомов.

Composition

Composition per 1 ml:
Active ingredient: naftifine hydrochloride - 10.0 mg.
Excipients: propylene glycol - 50.0 mg; ethanol (ethyl alcohol 95%) - 400.0 mg; purified water - up to 1 ml.

A clear, colorless or slightly yellowish solution with an ethanol odor.

Вспомогательные вещества: пропиленгликоль - 50,0 мг, этанол (этиловый спирт 95 %) - 400,0 мг, вода очищенная - до 1 мл.

Прозрачный, бесцветный или слегка желтоватый раствор с запахом этанола.

Contraindications & warnings

Increased sensitivity to naftifine or propylene glycol; pregnancy and lactation (safety and efficacy of the drug in this category of patients have not been studied).
Application of the drug on open wounds is contraindicated.

Mikoderil®, solution for external use, 1% is effective in the treatment of mycoses affecting areas of skin with hyperkeratosis, as well as in hair growth areas.
A course of treatment is required.
Avoid contact of the medication with the eyes and open wounds.
Use in pediatrics
The medication should be used with caution in children.
Effect on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery
Mikoderil®, solution for external use, 1% does not have a negative effect on the ability to drive vehicles and perform other activities that require attention and quick psychomotor reactions.

Микодерил®, раствор для наружного применения, 1% эффективен при лечении микозов, поражающих области кожи с гиперкератозом, а так же в зонах роста волос.
Требуется курсовое лечение.
Следует избегать попадания препарата в глаза и на открытые раны.
Использование в педиатрии
С осторожностью следует применять препарат у детей.
Влияние на способность управлять транспортными средствами и другими механизмами
Микодерил®, раствор для наружного применения, 1% не оказывает отрицательного влияния на способность управлять транспортными средствами и выполнять другие виды деятельности, требующие концентрации внимания и быстроты психомоторных реакций.

Side effects, overdose & interactions

In some cases, local reactions may occur: skin dryness, skin hyperemia, and burning sensation. The side effects are reversible and do not require discontinuation of treatment. If any of the side effects listed in the instructions worsen, or if any other side effects not mentioned in the instructions are observed, it is necessary to inform the doctor immediately.

No cases of overdose have been reported.

No interaction with other medications has been studied.

Pharmacology

Mycoderil® is an antifungal medication for external use, with the active ingredient being naftifine. Naftifine is an antifungal agent belonging to the allylamine class. The mechanism of action is associated with the inhibition of squalene-2,3-epoxidase, leading to a decrease in the production of ergosterol, a component of the fungal cell wall. Naftifine, by affecting squalene epoxidase, does not interfere with the cytochrome P-450 system.

Naftifine is active against dermatophytes such as Trichophyton, Epidermophyton, Microsporum, yeast and yeast-like fungi (Candida spp., Pityrosporum), mold fungi (Aspergillus), and other fungi (e.g., Sporothrix schenckii). Against dermatophytes and Aspergillus, naftifine exhibits fungicidal activity. Against yeast fungi, the drug shows either fungicidal or fungistatic activity depending on the strain of the microorganism. Naftifine has antibacterial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms that cause secondary bacterial infections.

Naftifine possesses anti-inflammatory properties, which contribute to the rapid resolution of inflammation symptoms, particularly itching.

Pharmacokinetics
When applied externally, naftifine quickly penetrates the skin, creating sustained antifungal concentrations in various layers, allowing for once-daily application.

Микодерил® - противогрибковый препарат для наружного применения, действующим веществом которого является нафтифин. Нафтифин - противогрибковое средство, относящееся к классу алиламинов. Механизм действия связан с ингибированием сквален-2,3-эпоксидазы, что приводит к снижению образования эргостерола, входящего в состав клеточной стенки гриба. Нафтифин, влияя на скваленэпоксидазу, не затрагивает систему цитохрома Р-450.

Naftifine is active against dermatophytes, yeast and yeast-like fungi, mold fungi, and also has antibacterial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms. It is used for the treatment of fungal infections of smooth skin and skin folds; interdigital mycoses; fungal nail infections (onychomycosis); skin candidiasis; tinea versicolor; inflammatory dermatomycoses (with or without itching). Allergic reactions may occur. It is recommended to consult a doctor before use.
