How to use

For external use.
For adults and children. The medication is recommended to be applied 5 times a day, approximately every 4 hours, except during nighttime, to the affected areas and adjacent skin. It is important to start treatment as early as possible, preferably at the first signs and symptoms (during the prodromal period or upon redness). Treatment may also begin at later stages (papule or vesicle). The duration of treatment is at least 4 days. If healing does not occur, treatment may be continued for up to 10 days. If symptoms persist for more than 10 days, a doctor should be consulted. To prevent worsening of the condition and to avoid spreading the infection, it is necessary to wash hands before and after applying the medication, and not to rub or touch the affected areas of skin with a towel.
Use in elderly patients. No special recommendations are available.
Use the medication only according to the indications, method of application, and dosages specified in the instructions.

Взрослым и детям. Препарат рекомендуется наносить 5 раз в день, примерно каждые 4 часа, за исключением ночного времени, на пораженные и граничащие с ними участки кожи. Важно как можно раньше начинать лечение желательно при появлении первых признаков и симптомов (в продромальном периоде или при покраснении). Лечение также может начаться на более поздних стадиях (папула или пузырь). Длительность лечения не менее 4 дней. В случае отсутствия заживления, лечение может быть продолжено до 10 дней. В случае сохранения симптомов заболевания более 10 дней, следует обратиться к врачу. Чтобы не допустить ухудшения состояния и предупредить распространение инфекции, необходимо мыть руки до и после нанесения препарата, не тереть и не прикасаться к пораженным участкам кожи полотенцем.
Применение у пожилых пациентов. Специальные рекомендации отсутствуют.
Применяйте препарат только согласно тем показаниям, тому способу применения и в тех дозах, которые указаны в инструкции.

active ingredient: acyclovir – 0.25 g;
excipients: macrogol 400 – 3.3 g, macrogol 1500 - up to 5.0 g.

Contraindications & warnings

Increased sensitivity to acyclovir and other components of the medication.

The ointment is not recommended for application on the mucous membranes of the oral cavity, eyes, nose, and vagina.
In cases of pronounced manifestations of herpes simplex, it is advisable to consult a physician.
To achieve maximum therapeutic effect, the medication should be started at the first signs of the disease (burning, itching, tingling, tightness, and redness).
Patients with immunodeficiency conditions should follow the physician's recommendations when treating any infectious diseases.

Повышенная чувствительность к ацикловиру и другим компонентам препарата.

Мазь не рекомендуется наносить на слизистые оболочки полости рта, глаз, носа и влагалища.
При выраженных проявлениях герпеса губ рекомендуется проконсультироваться с врачом.
Для достижения максимального терапевтического эффекта необходимо начать применять препарат уже при первых признаках заболевания (жжение, зуд, покалывание, ощущение напряженности и покраснение).

Pharmacology

Acyclovir is an antiviral drug that is highly active in vitro against Herpes simplex virus (HSV) types 1 and 2, and Varicella zoster virus. After entering cells infected with the herpes virus, acyclovir is phosphorylated to the active compound acyclovir triphosphate. The first stage of this process depends on the presence of the HSV-encoded enzyme thymidine kinase. Acyclovir triphosphate acts as an inhibitor and substrate of herpes-specific DNA polymerase, preventing further synthesis of viral DNA while not affecting normal cellular processes.

Pharmacological studies have shown minimal systemic absorption with repeated external use of acyclovir.

Ацикловир - противовирусный препарат - высоко активен in vitro в отношении вируса Herpes simplex (HSV) 1 и 2 типов и вируса Varicella zoster. После попадания в клетки, инфицированные вирусом герпеса, ацикловир фосфорилируется до активного соединения ацикловира трифосфат. Первый этап данного процесса зависит от присутствия HSV-закодированного фермента тимидинкиназы. Ацикловира трифосфат действует как ингибитор и субстрат герпес-специфической ДНК полимеразы, препятствуя дальнейшему синтезу вирусной ДНК, при этом, не оказывая воздействия на нормальные клеточные процессы.

Фармакологические исследования показали минимальную системную абсорбцию при повторном наружном применении ацикловира.
