Amrus AMD-T17 Digital Medical Thermometer

The AMDT17 digital medical thermometer is intended for measuring human body temperature.

Methods and timing for measuring temperature:
orally (temperature in the mouth) up to 2 minutes;
rectally (in the anal opening) up to 2 minutes;

Procedure for measuring temperature

• Before using the thermometer, disinfect it with a wipe containing an alcohol-based solution.

• Press the ON/OFF button. After a sound signal, the display will sequentially show:
188.8°E → result of the previous measurement → 37°C → Lо°C (if the room temperature is above +32°C, the Lо°C symbol may not appear). The flashing part of the °C symbol Lо°C indicates the start of temperature measurement.
Proceed to measure according to the chosen method.

• Methods of measuring temperature.
Oral measurement. Quick temperature measurement in adults. - up to 2 minutes - Conveniently place the tip of the thermometer in the mouth, pressing it firmly with the tongue.
Rectal measurement. Recommended for measuring temperature in small children. - up to 2 minutes - Provides the most accurate temperature measurement results.

• Gently insert the tip of the thermometer a few millimeters into the anal opening.
If you feel resistance, immediately stop the procedure.
Axillary measurement. The least accurate method of measuring temperature. - up to 5 minutes - Place the tip of the thermometer in the middle of the armpit and press it firmly with your hand.
When the sound signal is given, do not interrupt the measurement; continue for another 4 minutes.
THE SOUND SIGNAL IN THIS METHOD DOES NOT INDICATE THE END OF MEASUREMENT.

• After the measurement is complete, a sound signal will be given, the flashing of the °C symbol will stop, and the result of the temperature measurement will be displayed. The measurement results obtained by the above methods may differ by 0.1 to 0.5°C, as temperature varies at different body sites.

• The thermometer will automatically turn off after the measurement is complete.
To extend the battery life, turn off the thermometer by pressing the ON/OFF button.

• The thermometer is non-sterile and cannot be sterilized. After using the thermometer, wipe it with a wipe containing an alcohol-based solution and place it in the case.

Precautions
1. Protect the thermometer from impacts, falls, and do not open it unnecessarily.
2. Do not fully immerse the thermometer body in liquid.
3. Avoid contact of the thermometer with hot water.
4. Do not use solvents or abrasive substances to clean the thermometer.
5. Avoid direct sunlight on the thermometer.
6. Do not use the thermometer near strong sources of electromagnetic radiation - monitors, televisions, mobile phones, microwave ovens. This may lead to inaccurate measurement results.
