• intestinal dysbiosis of various etiologies (including those caused by the use of antibiotics, antibacterial drugs, glucocorticosteroid hormones, and drugs that have an ulcerogenic effect on the gastrointestinal tract (including NSAIDs)),

• diarrhea in patients treated with antibiotics for a long time,

• acute intestinal infections of established (shigellosis, salmonellosis, staphylococcal enterocolitis, rotavirus infection) and unknown etiology,

• food toxicoinfections.
As part of the complex therapy of diseases accompanied by intestinal dysbiosis:

• chronic diseases affecting the gastrointestinal tract (peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum, pancreatitis, cholecystitis, liver and biliary tract diseases, chronic constipation, malabsorption syndrome),

• allergic diseases,

• pneumonia, acute and chronic bronchitis,

• acute respiratory viral infections,

• inflammatory diseases of the urogenital tract,

• in surgical patients during preoperative preparation and after surgeries on the intestines, liver, pancreas to correct the intestinal microbiocenosis and prevent purulent-inflammatory diseases. The drug is used for the prevention of:

• nosocomial infections in maternity hospitals and hospitals,

• dysbiosis in frequently ill children and adults with ARVI

The drug is used for children from birth (including premature infants) and adults of all age groups. Depending on the severity of the diseases, Bifidumbacterin forte® is used in standard or increased doses. Bifidumbacterin forte® for therapeutic purposes in standard doses:

• for children under 1 year old, 1 capsule 2-3 times a day,

• for children 1 year and older, 1 capsule 3-4 times a day,

• for adults, 2 capsules 2-3 times a day. The treatment course for acute infections and food toxic infections is 5-7 days, for other diseases 15-21 days (determined by the nature and severity of the disease). If necessary, treatment courses can be repeated 2-3 times, with each course conducted one month after the end of the previous treatment course. For patients with surgical pathology – for 3-5 days before surgery and for 10-15 days after surgery:

• for children under 1 year old, 1 capsule 3 times a day,

• for children 1 year and older, 1 capsule 3-4 times a day,

• for adults, 2 capsules 3 times a day. Bifidumbacterin forte® for therapeutic purposes in increased doses is used for children from 1 year old and adults. In case of acute intestinal infection and acute respiratory viral infection, it is used from the first days of the disease:

• for children, 3-5 capsules every 2 hours up to 6 times a day,

• for adults, 10 capsules 3 times a day. The treatment course is 1-3 days depending on the severity of the condition. In chronic gastrointestinal diseases:

• for children, 5 capsules 1-3 times a day,

• for adults, 10 capsules 1-3 times a day. The treatment course is 10-14 days. Patients with diabetes should consider that 10 capsules of the drug contain 1.17 XE. For preventive purposes, for children under 1 year old, 1 capsule once a day. For other age groups, 1-2 capsules 1-2 times a day. To prevent dysbiosis in frequently ill children and adults with ARVI, the drug is used for 10-15 days 2-3 times a year. To prevent nosocomial infections in maternity hospitals and hospitals, the drug is used for 5-10 days. Bifidumbacterin forte® is taken orally during meals, if necessary, regardless of meals, with water or fermented milk products. For children and patients who cannot swallow a whole capsule, it is opened. The contents of the capsule are mixed with liquid food, preferably a fermented milk product or a small amount of boiled water at room temperature to obtain a suspension with black sorbent particles. The resulting suspension should be drunk without achieving complete dissolution. For newborns and infants, the contents of the capsule can be mixed with breast milk or formula.

excipients: lactose monohydrate - up to 0.20 g.

Description of the dosage form

Hard gelatin capsules, the body of the capsule is white, the cap of the capsule is blue. The contents of the capsules are a powder ranging from light gray to dark gray with black particles of charcoal and possible beige specks with a faint sour-milk smell.
