Indications

• To improve digestion in individuals with normal gastrointestinal function in cases of dietary indiscretions (irregular/unbalanced diet, consumption of fatty foods, overeating);

• In cases of impaired chewing function, prolonged forced immobilization, sedentary lifestyle;

• Insufficiency of the exocrine function of the pancreas (chronic pancreatitis, cystic fibrosis);

• Chronic inflammatory-dystrophic diseases of the stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder; conditions following resection or radiation of these organs, accompanied by digestive disturbances, flatulence, diarrhea (as part of combination therapy);

• Preparation for radiological and ultrasound examination of the abdominal organs.

• Хронические воспалительно-дистрофические заболевания желудка, кишечника, печени, желчного пузыря; состояния после резекции или облучения этих органов, сопровождающиеся нарушениями переваривания пищи, метеоризмом, диареей (в составе комбинированной терапии);

• Подготовка к рентгенологическому и ультразвуковому исследованию органов брюшной полости.

How to use

Enzistal is taken orally, without chewing, during or immediately after meals, with a small amount of liquid.
Adults - 1-2 tablets 3 times a day. Higher doses are prescribed by a doctor.
Children over 6 years old (as prescribed by a doctor) - 1 tablet 2-3 times a day.
The duration of treatment may vary from several days (in cases of digestive disturbances due to dietary indiscretions) to several months or years (when continuous replacement therapy is necessary).
Before radiological or ultrasound examinations - 2 tablets 2-3 times a day for 2-3 days prior to the examination.

Энзистал принимают внутрь, не разжевывая, во время или сразу после еды, запивая небольшим количеством жидкости.
Взрослые - по 1-2 таблетки 3 раза в сутки. Более высокие дозы назначаются врачом. Дети старше 6 лет (по назначению врача) - по 1 таблетке 2-3 раза в сутки.
Продолжительность лечения может варьировать от нескольких дней (при нарушении процесса пищеварения вследствие погрешностей в питании) до нескольких месяцев или лет (при необходимости постоянной заместительной терапии).
Перед рентгенологическим или ультразвуковым исследованием - 2 таблетки 2-3 раза в сутки в течение 2-3 дней перед исследованием.

Composition

Each tablet contains:
Active ingredients: Pancreatin 192.00 mg (protease activity: not less than 300 U.MFF, lipase activity: not less than 6000 U.MFF, amylase activity: not less than 4500 U.MFF), Bovine bile extract 25.00 mg, Hemicellulase 50.00 mg.
Excipients: lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, colloidal silicon dioxide, Enteric coating: cellulose acetate, diethyl phthalate, Sugar coating: sucrose, calcium carbonate, talc, acacia gum, gelatin, titanium dioxide, yellow beeswax.

White, round, biconvex tablets coated with a sugar shell.

Contraindications & warnings

Increased sensitivity to the components of the drug, acute pancreatitis, exacerbation of chronic pancreatitis, liver failure, hepatitis, mechanical jaundice, cholelithiasis, empyema of the gallbladder, intestinal obstruction, age under 6 years, cholelithiasis.
With caution: cystic fibrosis.

In cystic fibrosis, the medication should be prescribed with caution, as the dosage must be appropriate to the quantity and quality of food consumed.

Повышенная чувствительность к компонентам препарата, острый панкреатит, обострение хронического панкреатита, печеночная недостаточность, гепатит, механическая желтуха, желчнокаменная болезнь, эмпиема желчного пузыря, кишечная непроходимость, детский возраст до 6 лет, холелитиаз.
С осторожностью: муковисцидоз.

При муковисцидозе препарат следует назначать с осторожностью, т.к. доза должна быть адекватна количеству и качеству потребляемой пищи.

Side effects, overdose & interactions

Allergic reactions, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, decreased endogenous synthesis of bile acids. With prolonged use in high doses, the development of hyperuricosuria and increased levels of uric acid in the plasma may occur.
In children, the use of high doses may lead to perianal irritation and irritation of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity.

Symptoms: hyperuricemia and hyperuricosuria.
Treatment: discontinuation of the drug, symptomatic therapy.

When used concurrently with Enzistal®, the absorption of PAS, sulfonamides, and antibiotics is increased; a decrease in the absorption of iron preparations may occur. Concurrent use of antacids containing calcium carbonate and/or magnesium hydroxide may lead to reduced effectiveness of Enzistal®. Cimetidine enhances the action of the drug.

Аллергические реакции, тошнота, диарея, боли в животе, снижение эндогенного синтеза желчных кислот. При длительном применении в высоких дозах возможно развитие гиперурикозурии, повышение уровня мочевой кислоты в плазме крови.
У детей при применении высоких доз возможно развитие перианального раздражения и раздражения слизистой оболочки полости рта.

Enzistal® has a protective coating that does not dissolve until it reaches the small intestine, which protects the enzymes from the destructive action of gastric juice. Enzistal® promotes rapid and complete digestion of food, alleviating symptoms arising from digestive disorders (feeling of heaviness and fullness in the stomach, flatulence, shortness of breath caused by gas accumulation in the intestines, diarrhea).

The enzymes included in pancreatin - amylase, lipase, and protease - facilitate the digestion of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, which contributes to their more complete absorption in the small intestine.

Hemicellulase - an enzyme that aids in the breakdown of plant fiber, which also improves digestive processes and reduces gas formation in the intestines.

Bile extract acts as a choleretic, promotes the emulsification of fats, increases lipase activity, and enhances the absorption of fats and fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, K.
