Acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases (tracheitis, bronchitis, tracheobronchitis, bronchial asthma, bronchiectatic disease) and inflammatory diseases of the nasal cavity, nasopharynx, paranasal sinuses, and middle ear (rhinitis, adenoiditis, sinusitis, otitis media) accompanied by the formation of viscous, difficult-to-expectorate secretions (sputum, mucus); preparation for bronchoscopy and/or bronchography.

For oral use.
15 ml three times a day, preferably 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after meals.
Treatment should not exceed 8-10 days without consulting a doctor.
15 ml of syrup contains 750 mg of carbocisteine.

• hypersensitivity to carbocisteine or other components of the product;
• peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum in the acute phase;
• chronic glomerulonephritis (in the acute phase), cystitis;
• age under 15 years;
• pregnancy (first trimester).
Caution should be exercised when taking the product in cases of chronic glomerulonephritis (in history), peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum (in history).

For adults only.
Patients with diabetes should note that the sugar content in one tablespoon of syrup is 5.25 g.

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, epigastric pain, flatulence, gastrointestinal bleeding, dizziness, weakness, malaise, in rare cases - allergic reactions (itching, urticaria, rash, angioedema).

Symptoms: gastralgia, nausea, diarrhea.

When used in conjunction with glucocorticoids, a synergistic effect is observed. Increases the effectiveness of antibacterial therapy for inflammatory diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tracts. Enhances the bronchodilator effect of theophylline. The activity of carbocisteine is weakened by antitussive and atropine-like agents.

The mucolytic and expectorant action is due to the activation of sialyltransferase - an enzyme of the goblet cells in the bronchial mucosa. It normalizes the quantitative ratio of acidic and neutral sialomucins in bronchial secretions, restores the viscosity and elasticity of mucus, and facilitates its expulsion. It promotes the regeneration of the mucous membrane, normalizes its structure, reduces mucus production, activates the activity of ciliated epithelium, and improves mucociliary clearance. It restores the secretion of immunologically active IgA (specific protection) and the number of sulfhydryl groups in mucus components (nonspecific protection).

The maximum concentration in the blood serum and in the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract is reached 2-3 hours after oral administration and is maintained in the mucous membrane for 8 hours. It is primarily excreted by the kidneys, partially in unchanged form, and partially as metabolites.
