Pharmacology

Antimicrobial agent, a derivative of nitrofuran. Bacterial flavoproteins, by reducing the 5-nitro group, form highly reactive amino derivatives capable of causing conformational changes in proteins (including ribosomal) and other macromolecules, leading to bacterial death.
Active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Escherichia coli, Clostridium perfringens).
Resistance develops slowly and does not reach a high degree.

When applied externally, absorption is minimal. It penetrates through histohematological barriers and is evenly distributed in fluids and tissues. The main metabolic pathway is the reduction of the nitro group. It is excreted by the kidneys and partially with bile.

Противомикробное средство, производное нитрофурана. Бактериальные флавопротеины, восстанавливая 5-нитрогруппу, образуют высокореактивные аминопроизводные,
способные вызвать конформационные изменения белков (в т.ч. рибосомальных) и др. макромолекул, приводя к гибели бактерий.
Активен в отношении грамположительных и грамотрицательных бактерий (Stahylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Escherichia coli, Clostridium perfringens).

При наружном применении всасывание незначительное. Проникает через
гистогематические барьеры и равномерно распределяется в жидкостях и тканях. Основной путь метаболизма - восстановление нитрогруппы. Выводится почками и частично с желчью.

Furacilin 0.02% solution for local and external use 200 ml bottle - is an antimicrobial medication derived from nitrofuran. It is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Escherichia coli, Clostridium perfringens). Resistance develops slowly and does not reach a high degree.

Used externally: purulent wounds, pressure sores, burns of II-III degree, minor skin injuries (including abrasions, scratches, cracks, cuts).

Used locally: blepharitis, conjunctivitis, osteomyelitis, sinusitis - cavity rinsing, acute tonsillitis, stomatitis, gingivitis.

The duration of the treatment course depends on the indications, the nature, and localization of the affected area. Use the medication only according to the instructions, the method of application, and in the doses specified in the instructions.
