Indications

Prevention of sexually transmitted infections (chlamydia, ureaplasmosis, trichomoniasis, gonorrhea, syphilis, genital herpes, etc.).
Prevention of infectious-inflammatory complications in obstetrics and gynecology (before surgical treatment of gynecological diseases, before childbirth and abortion, before and after the insertion of an intrauterine device (IUD), before and after diathermocoagulation of the cervix, before intrauterine examinations).
Treatment of bacterial vaginosis, colpitis (including nonspecific, mixed, trichomonadal).

Профилактика инфекций, передаваемых половым путем (хламидиоз, уреаплазмоз, трихомониаз, гонорея, сифилис, генитальный герпес и др.).
Профилактика инфекционно-воспалительных осложнений в акушерстве-гинекологии (перед оперативным лечением гинекологических заболеваний, перед родами и абортом, до и после установки внутриматочной спирали (ВМС), до и после диатермокоагуляции шейки матки, перед внутриматочными исследованиями).
Лечение бактериального вагиноза, кольпитов (в том числе неспецифических, смешанных, трихомонадных).

How to use

Intravaginally. Before use, remove the suppository from the blister pack.
For treatment: 1 suppository 2 times a day for 7-10 days.
For the prevention of sexually transmitted infections: 1 suppository no later than 2 hours after unprotected sexual intercourse.

Интравагинально. Перед применением суппозиторий освобождают от контурной упаковки.
Для лечения: по 1 суппозиторию 2 раза в сутки, в течение 7-10 дней.
Для профилактики инфекций, передаваемых половым путем: 1 суппозиторий не позднее 2 часов после незащищенного полового акта.

Composition

One suppository contains:
active ingredient: chlorhexidine bigluconate - 16 mg (chlorhexidine bigluconate is used in solution form (20% concentration));
excipients: suppository base - sufficient quantity to obtain a suppository weighing 3.10 g - macrogol 1500 (polyethylene glycol 1500) 92-98%, macrogol 400 (polyethylene glycol 400) 8-2%.

Suppositories of white or white with a yellowish tint color, torpedo-shaped. Marbling of the surface is permissible.

Один суппозиторий содержит:
активное вещество: хлоргексидина биглюконат - 16 мг (хлоргексидина биглюконат используют в виде раствора (концентрация 20 %));
вспомогательные вещества: основа для суппозиториев - достаточное количество до получения суппозитория массой 3,10 г - макрогол 1500 (полиэтиленоксид 1500) 92-98 %, макрогол 400 (полиэтиленоксид 400) 8-2 %.

Суппозитории белого или белого с желтоватым оттенком цвета, торпедообразной формы. Допускается мраморность поверхности.

Side effects, overdose & interactions

Allergic reactions and itching may occur, which resolve after discontinuation of the medication.

Concurrent use with iodine is not recommended.
Geksikon® is incompatible with detergents containing an anionic group (saponins, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium carboxymethylcellulose) and soaps when administered intravaginally. Cleaning of the external genitalia does not affect the efficacy and tolerability of Geksikon® vaginal suppositories, as the drug is used intravaginally.

Возможны аллергические реакции, зуд, проходящие после отмены препарата.

Не рекомендуется одновременное применение с йодом.
Гексикон® не совместим с детергентами, содержащими анионную группу (сапонины, натрия лаурилсульфат, натрия карбоксиметилцеллюлоза), и мылами, если они вводятся интравагинально. Туалет наружных половых органов не влияет на эффективность и переносимость суппозиториев вагинальных Гексикон®, так как препарат применяется интравагинально.

Pharmacology

Geksikon® - an antiseptic agent for local use, active against protozoa, gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, viruses, including: Treponema pallidum, Chlamydia spp., Ureaplasma spp., Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Trichomonas vaginalis, Gardnerella vaginalis, Bacteroides fragilis, Herpes virus. Some strains of Pseudomonas spp., Proteus spp. are weakly sensitive to the drug, as well as acid-resistant forms of bacteria, bacterial spores, and fungi are resistant. Geksikon® does not disrupt the functional activity of lactobacilli. It retains activity (although somewhat reduced) in the presence of blood and pus.

When administered intravaginally, it is practically not absorbed and does not have a systemic effect.

Гексикон® - антисептический препарат для местного применения, активен в отношении простейших, грамположительных и грамотрицательных бактерий, вирусов, в т.ч.: Treponema pallidum, Chlamidia spp., Ureaplasma spp., Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Trichomonas vaginalis, Gardnerella vaginalis, Bacteroides fragilis, Herpes-virus. К препарату слабочувствительны некоторые штаммы Pseudomonas spp., Proteus spp., а также устойчивы кислотоустойчивые формы бактерий, споры бактерий, грибы. Гексикон® не нарушает функциональную активность лактобацилл. Сохраняет активность (хотя и несколько пониженную) в присутствии крови, гноя.

При интравагинальном применении практически не всасывается,системного действия не оказывает.

Description

Geksikon is a medicinal product - vaginal suppositories used for the treatment of various diseases of the female reproductive system caused by bacterial infection.
