Treatment and prevention of infectious-inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx:

• pharyngitis;

• chronic tonsillitis;

• preoperative preparation and postoperative period after tonsillectomy;

• superficial and deep periodontitis, stomatitis (including aphthous), glossitis;

• erythematous and ulcerative gingivitis;

• oral dysbiosis;

• infections after tooth extraction, implantation of artificial tooth roots;

• ulcerations caused by dental prostheses.

For adults and adolescents over 14 years old.
In cases of acute inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx and exacerbation of chronic diseases, the medication is taken at a dosage of 8 tablets per day. The tablets are to be dissolved (not chewed) in the oral cavity at intervals of 1-2 hours. The average duration of the treatment course is 10 days.
For the prevention of exacerbation of chronic inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx, the medication is taken at a dosage of 6 tablets per day. The tablets are to be dissolved (not chewed) in the oral cavity at intervals of 2 hours. The duration of the course is 20 days. It is recommended to conduct preventive treatment courses with Imudon 3-4 times a year.

For children aged 3 to 14 years.
In the treatment of acute and exacerbation of chronic inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx, as well as for prevention, the medication is taken at a dosage of 6 tablets per day. The tablets are to be dissolved (not chewed) in the oral cavity at intervals of 1-2 hours. The duration of the treatment course for acute diseases is 10 days, and for the prevention of exacerbation of chronic diseases - 20 days. The course of preventive use is recommended to be repeated 3-4 times a year.

Composition per tablet
The preparation is a polyvalent antigenic complex, a mixture of bacterial lysates, the composition of which corresponds to the pathogens most commonly causing inflammatory processes in the oral cavity and pharynx.

glycine - 47.3 mg, lactose monohydrate - 350 mg, mannitol - 100 mg, sodium saccharin - 1.12 mg, povidone - 10.0 mg, sodium bicarbonate - 30.0 mg, anhydrous citric acid - 23.0 mg, mint flavoring - 8.0 mg, magnesium stearate - 4.88 mg.

Tablets of white or almost white color, flat-cylindrical shape, with a smooth shiny surface, beveled edges, with a mint scent; slight marbling is permissible.

Pregnancy and lactation:
Information on the use of Imudon in pregnant women is insufficient. Relevant data from animal experiments and epidemiological studies are lacking.
Imudon® is not recommended during pregnancy or lactation.

• Children aged 3 to 6 years should dissolve the tablets under the strict supervision of adults!

• Do not eat or drink, or rinse the mouth for one hour after using Imudon, in order to not reduce the therapeutic effectiveness of the medication.

• When prescribing the medication to patients on a salt-free or low-salt diet, it should be noted that 1 tablet of Imudon contains 15 mg of Na+.

• Patients with bronchial asthma for whom the intake of medications containing bacterial lysates triggers an exacerbation of the condition (asthma attack) are not recommended to use the medication.
Impact on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery
There is no data indicating the need for any restrictions on activities related to driving a car or other machinery during treatment.

In rare cases, the use of the medication may be accompanied by allergic reactions (rash, urticaria, angioedema), gastrointestinal reactions (nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain), fever, exacerbation of bronchial asthma, cough. In very rare cases, the use of the medication may be accompanied by the development of erythema nodosum, hemorrhagic vasculitis, thrombocytopenia.

No cases of Imudon overdose have been reported.

Not noted. Imudon® can be used with medications from other groups.

Immunostimulatory drug of bacterial origin for local application in dentistry and otorhinolaryngology. It is a polyvalent antigenic complex that includes lysates of bacteria most commonly causing pathogenic processes in the oral cavity and pharynx.

Imudon activates phagocytosis, promotes an increase in the number of immunocompetent cells, and enhances the production of lysozyme, interferon, and secretory immunoglobulin A in saliva.

The drug primarily acts in the oral cavity; currently, there is no data on systemic absorption.
