NFO NORWEGIAN FISH OIL OMEGA-3 KRILL OIL "NORWEGIAN Fish Oil Omega-3 Krill Oil" - is a dietary supplement (BAA) that represents a concentrate of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) of the omega-3 family, obtained from fish of the anchovy, mackerel, herring, smelt, sardine, and sand eel families, with the addition of krill oil and extract of the microalga Haematococcus Pluvialis.
Appearance and properties: Soft gelatin capsules filled with an oily liquid of red-orange color - fish oil with the addition of krill oil and extract of the microalga Haematococcus Pluvialis. The capsule shell is made from natural gelatin derived from fish scales.
Daily dose (2 capsules) contains:
Fish oil 1980 mg
Krill oil 20 mg
Extract of microalga Haematococcus Pluvialis 2 mg
Omega-3 PUFAs 1090 mg
Eicosapentaenoic acid 594 mg
Docosahexaenoic acid 396 mg
Astaxanthin 100 mcg

Omega-3 PUFAs: 545-1090 mg (27-54.5% of the adequate intake level*),

The significance of omega-3 PUFAs is related to the structural-functional organization of cell membranes. Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids are precursors of active and important bioregulators - eicosanoids of the E3 line, which influence processes of thrombosis, vascular tone, and immune status. Omega-3 PUFAs are classified as "essential" fatty acids that the body cannot synthesize on its own and must be obtained from food. They have a wide range of effects on various organs and systems. An increase in dietary omega-3 PUFAs slows the development of atherosclerosis and other cardiovascular diseases, helps reduce blood cholesterol levels by lowering LDL levels, among others.
Krill oil. Like fish oil, krill oil is a source of omega-3 PUFAs, but in krill oil, PUFAs are present in the form of phospholipids, which have the same structure as those in cell membranes, significantly enhancing their absorption and bioavailability. The main phospholipid in krill oil, phosphatidylcholine, is an important element necessary for the normal functioning of the liver. Additionally, being a rich source of choline, it is a crucial building block for the brain.
Haematococcus Pluvialis is a species of marine microalgae capable of accumulating astaxanthin, which gives them their bright red color. Astaxanthin is a powerful antioxidant that can effectively bind free radicals, preventing oxidation.
