Pharmacology

PSYLLIUM - Dietary supplement (BAA) - an additional source of soluble and insoluble dietary fibers.

Daily dose (6 capsules) contains:
Soluble dietary fibers (from psyllium) 600 mg 30% of the adequate daily intake1
Insoluble dietary fibers (from psyllium) 3600 mg 18% of the adequate daily intake1
1 - according to the "Unified sanitary-epidemiological and hygienic requirements for products (goods) subject to sanitary-epidemiological supervision (control)" (Chapter II, Section 1, Appendix 5).

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS:
Psyllium consists of a polymer rich in arabinose and xylose, which has limited digestibility for humans. Some intestinal bacteria can utilize these compounds as an energy source, thus psyllium can be considered to have prebiotic properties. The prebiotic effect manifests in supporting the growth of beneficial bacteria in the body and increasing the production of fatty acids that positively affect colon health.

The peculiarity of psyllium is that it is composed of 80 - 85% fiber, part of which (soluble) forms a gel upon contact with water. 1 g of fiber powder can absorb up to 45 ml of water. In the intestine, the gel releases excess water into its lumen, softening the intestinal contents and thereby increasing its volume. The increase in pressure within the intestine stimulates intestinal peristalsis, promoting faster passage of its contents.

Psyllium may help normalize cholesterol and blood sugar levels, as well as contribute to a greater feeling of fullness and reduced hunger between meals.

АКТИВНЫЕ ИНГРЕДИЕНТЫ:
Псиллиум состоит из полимера, богатого арабинозой и ксилозой, который имеет ограниченную усвояемость для человека. Некоторые кишечные бактерии могут использовать эти соединения в качестве источника энергии, поэтому можно считать, что псиллиум обладает пребиотическим свойством. Эффект пребиотиков проявляется в поддержании роста бактерий, полезных для организма, и увеличении выработки жирных кислот, положительно влияющих на здоровье толстой кишки.

Особенность псиллиума в том, что он на 80 - 85 % состоит из клетчатки, часть которой (растворимая) образует гель при контакте с водой. 1 г муки клетчатки способен впитать в себя до 45 мл воды. В кишечнике гель высвобождает излишнюю воду в его просвет, размягчает содержимое кишечника, тем самым увеличивая его объем. Увеличение давления внутри кишечника стимулирует перистальтику кишечника, что способствует более быстрому прохождению его содержимого.

Псиллиум может способствовать нормализации уровней холестерина и сахара в крови, а также способствует большему чувству сытости и уменьшению чувства голода между приемами пищи.
