Indications

As an expectorant for infectious-inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by cough with difficult-to-expectorate sputum (including tracheitis, tracheobronchitis, bronchitis).

В качестве отхаркивающего средства при инфекционно-воспалительных заболеваниях дыхательных путей, сопровождающихся кашлем с трудноотделяемой мокротой (в том числе трахеит, трахеобронхит, бронхит).

How to use

Orally, 3-4 times a day. For adults - 20-40 drops; for children, the dosage is equal to the child's age in years. Before use, dilute in a small amount of water.
The treatment course is 7-10 days. Extension of the duration and conducting repeated treatment courses is possible upon doctor's recommendation.
If no improvement occurs after treatment, or if symptoms worsen, or new symptoms appear, it is necessary to consult a doctor. Use the medication according to the indications, method of administration, and dosages specified in the instructions.

Внутрь, З-4 раза в день. Взрослым - по 20-40 капель, детям назначают на прием столько капель, сколько лет ребенку. Перед применением следует разводить в небольшом количестве воды.
Курс лечения 7 - 10 дней. Увеличение продолжительности и проведение повторных курсов лечения возможно по рекомендации врача.
Если после лечения улучшения не наступает или симптомы усугубляются, или появляются новые симптомы, необходимо проконсультироваться с врачом. Применяйте препарат согласно тем показаниям, тому способу применения и в тех дозах, которые указаны в инструкции.

Active ingredients:
Licorice root extract
(Licorice thick extract) - 20.7 g
Anise fruit oil
(Anise oil) - 0.34 g
Concentrated ammonia solution
25% [equivalent to 0.345 g of ammonia] - 1.38 g

Excipients:
Ethanol (ethyl alcohol) 90% - 20.41 ml
Purified water up to 100 ml

Brown liquid with the smell of ammonia and anise oil. Precipitation may occur during storage.

Contraindications & warnings

Increased sensitivity to the components of the drug; bronchial asthma; gastritis; peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum during exacerbation; pregnancy; breastfeeding.

Use with caution in cases of liver disease; alcoholism; traumatic brain injury; brain disorders; pediatric age; patients with a tendency to develop drug dependence; epilepsy.

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding
The use of the drug is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

The preparation contains 90% ethyl alcohol. The content of absolute ethyl alcohol in 1 drop of the preparation is 0.0075 g, in the maximum single dose for adults up to 0.3 g, in the maximum daily dose up to 1.2 g.
If symptoms persist or worsen during the use of the preparation for 7 days, the treating physician should be informed.

Effect on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery
During treatment, caution should be exercised when driving vehicles and engaging in other potentially dangerous activities that require increased attention and quick psychomotor reactions.

Повышенная чувствительность к компонентам препарата, бронхиальная астма, гастрит, язвенная болезнь желудка и двенадцатиперстной кишки в период обострения, беременность, период грудного вскармливания.

С осторожностью Заболевания печени, алкоголизм, черепно-мозговая травма, заболевания головного мозга, детский возраст, пациенты со склонностью к развитию лекарственной зависимости, эпилепсии.

Противопоказано применение препарата при беременности и в период грудного вскармливания

В составе препарата содержится спирт этиловый 90 %. Содержание абсолютного спирта этилового в 1 капле препарата составляет 0,0075 г, в максимальной разовой дозе для взрослых до 0,3 г, в максимальной суточной дозе до 1,2 г.
При сохранении симптомов заболевания или ухудшении состояния на фоне применения препарата в течение 7 дней, следует сообщить об этом лечащему врачу.

Влияние на способность управлять транспортными средствами, механизмами
В период лечения необходимо соблюдать осторожность при управлении транспортными средствами и занятиях другими потенциально опасными видами деятельности, требующими повышенной концентрации внимания и быстроты психомоторных реакций.

Side effects, overdose & interactions

Allergic reactions are possible; in some cases, diarrhea may occur.
If you experience any side effects listed in the instructions, or if they worsen, or if you notice any other side effects not listed in the instructions, inform your doctor.

Prolonged use exceeding the specified dosages may result in hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, and the development of peripheral edema due to disturbances in water-electrolyte balance.
Treatment: symptomatic.

If necessary, it can be used in combination with antibiotics and other medications. It should not be used simultaneously with cough suppressants, as this complicates the expectoration of liquefied mucus.

Возможны аллергические реакции, в отдельных случаях может наблюдаться диарея.
Если у Вас отмечаются побочные эффекты, указанные в инструкции, или они усугубляются, или Вы заметили любые другие побочные эффекты, не указанные в инструкции, сообщите об этом врачу.

При длительном применении с превышением указанных дозировок возможны гипокалиемия, повышение артериального давления, появление периферических отеков вследствие нарушения водно-солевого обмена.
Лечение: симптоматическое.

При необходимости можно применять в сочетании с антибиотиками и другими лекарственными средствами. Не следует применять одновременно с противокашлевыми препаратами, так как это затрудняет откашливание разжиженной мокроты.

Pharmacology

The expectorant effect of the chest elixir is due to the action of its components:

• Thick licorice extract has anti-inflammatory and expectorant properties, which are associated with the presence of glycyrrhizin in the roots, stimulating the activity of ciliated epithelium in the trachea and bronchi, as well as enhancing the secretory function of the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract;

• Anise oil has an expectorant effect, attributed to the presence of anethole in the oil, which promotes reflex stimulation of respiration, increases the activity of ciliated epithelium in the respiratory tract, and enhances the secretion of mucous membranes in the larynx, trachea, and bronchi;

• Ammonia has an irritating effect, which leads to the stimulation of sensory nerve endings in the upper respiratory tract and reflex stimulation of the respiratory center.

Отхаркивающий эффект грудного эликсира обусловлен действием входящих в него компонентов:

• солодки экстракт густой обладает противовоспалительным и отхаркивающим свойствами, которые связаны с содержанием в корнях глицирризина, стимулирующего активность реснитчатого эпителия в трахее и бронхах, а также усиливающего секреторную функцию слизистых оболочек верхних дыхательных путей;

• анисовое масло обладает отхаркивающим действием, обусловленным содержанием в масле анетола, который способствует рефлекторному возбуждению дыхания, повышению активности реснитчатого эпителия дыхательных путей и усилению секреции слизистых оболочек гортани, трахеи, бронхов;
