How to use

The medication is administered rectally in the following doses: for adults and children over 14 years - 10-20 mg of bisacodyl (1-2 suppositories); for children aged 8-14 years - 10 mg of bisacodyl (1 suppository).

Composition

Composition per 1 suppository:
Active ingredient: bisacodyl - 10.0 mg;
Excipients: solid fat (Witepsol (grades H 15, W 35), Suppocire (grades NA 15, NAS 50)) - up to a total suppository weight of 1.25 g.

Suppositories from white to white with a slight yellowish tint, torpedo-shaped.

Вспомогательные вещества: жир твердый (витепсол (марки Н 15, W 35). суппосир (марки NA 15, NAS 50)) - до получения суппозитория массой 1,25 г.

Суппозитории от белого до белого со слегка желтоватым оттенком цвета, торпедообразной формы.

Contraindications & warnings

Hypersensitivity; intestinal obstruction; incarcerated hernia; acute inflammatory diseases of the abdominal organs; peritonitis; gastrointestinal bleeding; metrorrhagia; cystitis; spastic constipation; acute proctitis; age under 8 years.

With caution:
Liver and/or kidney failure.

Do not use for an extended period.

Гиперчувствительность. кишечная непроходимость, ущемленная грыжа, острые воспалительные заболевания органов брюшной полости, перитонит, кровотечения из желудочно-кишечного тракта, метроррагия, цистит, спастические запоры, острый проктит, детский возраст до 8 лет.

С осторожностью
Печеночная и/или почечная недостаточность.

Не применять в течение длительного времени.

Side effects, overdose & interactions

Intestinal colic, diarrhea (dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, muscle weakness, cramps, decreased blood pressure), abdominal pain, flatulence, allergic reactions.

Symptoms: diarrhea, dehydration, disruption of water-electrolyte balance, hypokalemia, atony of the large intestine.
Treatment: symptomatic.

Симптомы: диарея, обезвоживание, нарушение водно-электролитного баланса, гипокалиемия, атония толстой кишки.
Лечение: симптоматическое.

Pharmacology

It irritates the receptor apparatus of the intestine, directly affecting the intestinal mucosa, enhancing its peristalsis and increasing mucus secretion in the large intestine. It is not absorbed in the intestine. It is a prodrug that undergoes hydrolysis in an alkaline environment, resulting in a metabolite that exerts an irritating effect on the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract. The effect occurs within the first hour.

Вызывает раздражение рецепторного аппарата кишки, оказывает непосредственное влияние на слизистую оболочку кишечника, усиливая его перистальтику и повышая секрецию слизи в толстом кишечнике.
Не всасывается в кишечнике. Является пролекарством, в щелочной среде происходит гидролиз с образованием метаболита, оказывающего раздражающее действие на слизистую оболочку желудочно-кишечного тракта. Действие наступает в течение первого часа.
