Indications
For local application to the mucous membranes of the oral cavity as an analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent in the treatment of periodontal diseases, injuries to the mucous membrane of the oral cavity, diseases characterized by inflammatory reactions and pain, including:
• stomatitis of various etiologies,
• gingivitis,
• periodontitis,
• injuries to the mucous membrane of the oral cavity due to wearing dental prostheses,
• trauma to the mucous membrane of the oral cavity,
• pain during teething in children,
• cheilitis,
• oral candidiasis,
• minor surgical interventions in the oral cavity,
• lichen planus localized to the oral mucosa,
• oral mucosal lesions in Stevens-Johnson syndrome as part of combination therapy.

How to use
Locally.
Cholisal is applied 2-3 times a day before meals (for pain relief) or after meals and before bedtime.
A strip of gel 1 cm long for adults and 0.5 cm for children is squeezed onto a clean finger and gently massaged into the affected area of the oral mucosa.
In periodontal diseases, the gel is introduced into the pockets or used as compresses, or gently massaged into the gums 1-2 times a day.

Холисал применяют 2-3 раза в день до еды (с целью обезболивания) или после еды и перед сном
Полоску геля длиной 1 см для взрослых и 0,5 см для детей выдавливают на чистый палец и втирают легкими массирующими движениями в пораженный участок слизистой оболочки полости рта.
При заболеваниях пародонта гель вводится в карманы или применяется в виде компрессов, или осторожно втирается в десны 1-2 раза в день.

Excipients:
hydroxyethylcellulose - 20.0 mg; methylparaben - 1.5 mg; propylparaben - 0.8 mg; glycerol - 50.0 mg; anise seed oil - 1.61 mg; ethanol 96% - 390.0 mg; water - up to 1000 mg.
Transparent colorless homogeneous mass with the scent of anise oil.

Pharmacology
When applied locally, the main active ingredient, choline salicylate, is rapidly absorbed through the mucous membrane of the oral cavity, providing local analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic effects. It inhibits the activity of cyclooxygenase, the functions of macrophages and neutrophils, interleukin-1 production, and suppresses the synthesis of prostaglandins. It also has antimicrobial and antifungal properties (in both acidic and alkaline environments). Cetalkonium chloride is an antiseptic that acts on bacteria, as well as fungi and viruses. The gel-based ethanol-containing adhesive formulation ensures rapid onset of effect and prolonged retention of active substances on the mucous membrane. The analgesic effect occurs within 2-3 minutes, with a duration of 2-8 hours.
When applied to mucous membranes, it is well absorbed.

При местном применении главное действующее вещество холина салицилат быстро всасывается через слизистую оболочку полости рта, оказывая местноанальгезирующее, противовоспалительное и жаропонижающее действие. Тормозит активность циклооксигеназы, функции макрофагов и нейтрофилов, продукцию интерлейкина-1 и угнетает синтез простагландинов. Обладает также противомикробным и противогрибковым действием (в кислой и щелочной среде). Цеталкония хлорид -антисептик, действует на бактерии, а также грибы и вирусы. Гелевая этанолсодержащая адгезивная основа обеспечивает быстрое развитие эффекта и длительно удерживает на слизистой оболочке действующие вещества. Анальгезирующее действие наступает через 2-3 минуты, при этом его продолжительность составляет 2-8 часов

Cholisal Gel for Dental Use is a medicinal product intended for local application in the oral cavity. It contains choline salicylate and cetalkonium chloride, which provide local analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic effects. The gel can be used for the prevention of various oral cavity diseases, as well as for the treatment of gingivitis, periodontitis, stomatitis, and other conditions. The 15-gram packaging of the gel is convenient to use and easy to carry on the go or to work.
