Indications

The device is intended for measuring human blood pressure using the Korotkoff method. The device is recommended for use in clinics and hospitals, as well as at home as a supplement to medical monitoring. Blood pressure measurement is performed by auscultating Korotkoff sounds with a stethoscope and taking readings on a manometer. It can be used without age restrictions for the patient, provided that a cuff of the appropriate size is used. It is designed for measuring blood pressure in newborns, infants, and children.

• Blood pressure measurement should be conducted in a calm and comfortable environment at room temperature. Food intake should be avoided one hour prior to measurement, and smoking, consumption of stimulating drinks, and alcohol should be avoided 1.5-2 hours before.

• The accuracy of blood pressure measurement also depends on the compatibility of the cuff size with the size of your arm. THE CUFF MUST NOT BE TOO SMALL OR, ON THE CONTRARY, TOO LARGE.

• Repeated measurements are conducted with an interval of 5 minutes to restore blood circulation. However, individuals suffering from severe atherosclerosis, due to significant loss of vessel elasticity, require a longer time between measurement intervals (10-15 minutes). This also applies to patients who have suffered from diabetes for a long time. For a more accurate determination of blood pressure, it is recommended to perform a series of 3 consecutive measurements and calculate the average value of the measurement results.
